Excellent letter by Stephen Franklin, and also an altercation that I was involved in

Excellent letter Stephen. I was in the process of posting a reply but it was getting a bit long so I just posted it all on my own blog. In regards to your excellent letter, I unfortunately but think your fighting against the tide. The hatred of these people is deep rooted, we can try all we like to argue your point, but it just goes in one ear and out the other. Personally it doesn't bother me, I understand that this hatred is made up in their genes and there’s nothing I can do about it.

Taking this hatred into account, here is what happened to me this morning whilst coming out of the gym.

A man on a motorbike, around 70 years of age wasn't happy with the spot my car was occupying. After an argument, out of nowhere, he asked me where I am from (assume it is because of my dark skin and curly hair). After assuming it was Greece or Cyprus, I told him I was Israeli (albeit only half). This is how the conversation unfolded from there:

Him: "Your Israeli, well that explains it. So you’re a Jew as well:
Me: "Yep"
Him: Are you in the Israeli Army?"
Me: "No"
Him: "Well you should be".
Me: "Why?"
Him: "Because you’re fighting for your lives"
Me: "Were doing fine"
Him: "Only because of the Americans and the Christian fundamentalist, you’d be in the gutter without them"
Me: "Good for them"
Him: "Viva Palestine, long live Palestine from the river to the sea, Viva Palestine Viva.
Me: "Well I will be parking in this spot every day now because of you”

At this point people started to gather round, a lot of whom were Jewish as it is frequented often by members of the Jewish faith. But basically, long story short, this guy, upon finding out that I was Israeli and Jewish, assumed that gave him the right to abuse me because of this. For all he knew, I was just your average Joe, not interested in politics or the situation and just wanted to get on with my life, but to these people, the only good Jew is a dead one.

Good for you, Robert. You followed the Israeli adage of 'not abandoning the courts to one's oponents' (which is why I blog here, against the self-hating, anti-Israeli posters).

More than 60 years after the establishment of the State of Israel, many goyim still have a problem recognizing the fact that there's a new Jew on the block, one who fights back when attacked. They prefer the old picture of a fore-lock-tugging, cap-in-hand galut Jew.

It's an uphill fight, but we are getting there ...

Robert OT
Best not to reurn to the same parking spot . He sounds like the sort who is likely to run a blade down the side of your car

You've heard of 'muscular liberalism' - welcome to 'muscular Judaism'......

Thanks for the advice Harvey. I think they have cameras there anyway so i'm not worried. Im actually more inclined to stick it there on purpose just to annoy him (it is in fact a legitimate spot).

As he was 70, I ensured I was respectful but this wasn't returned so my respect quickly went out the window as well. I actually took joy in the fact that my religion wound him up so much, it gave me a nice buzz with which to start the day! I didn't think the gym was meant to be fun.

Muscular Judaism probably started with the Ha-Shomer, Jonathan and Ian, so quite a while back. But yes, Ian is right that many non-Jews still don't get it.

To be honest, I love the 'New Jew' that the state of Israel has created. I love how they defend themselves and don't take s**t of anyone. They do what they think is best for us as a people, and if that conflicts with other people then so be it. We don't sell ourselves short like we used to, and I love how it winds our enemies up.

After Bibi's meeting with Osama, sorry Obama, a reporter titled an article 'Dear Mr. Netanyahu, Please Don't Speak to My President That Way'. I love the sheer audacity of PM Netanyahu, who has the balls to travel to the leader of the free world, and say in front of millions of people exactly what he wanted to say, no holding back.

That would have been my friend, Stanley Wallinets. I do hope he was wearing his helmet this time.

Iris, those are the details. I can't help that, take them for what they are.

My point was that to this man, who happened to be on a motorbike and around 70 years of age, it was acceptable to berate me because of my ethnicity.

Because he was old does not justify it, and the thing i am getting at it is that to these people, any Jew is fair game, their justification of which is Israel's treatment of the Palestinians.

By the way, congrats to you and Jon for taking the comments on this blog to such an intelligent level.

Obama?

When Bibi walked into the Oval Office, he saw Obama standing there with a frog on his head.

"What's that?" asked Bibi.

"I don't know", said the frog. "I woke up this morning, and found it stuck to my ...".

Robert, fascists and racists are the same the world over and across all religions. Well done for standing up to this particular example. We found in the early 1970s that bicycle chains were particularly useful against the NF. Worked too against the Kahanists in the mid 80s in Israel

Interesting, miligram, that you have no problem advocating violence, and that the JC allows you to do so.

I see millis, and who defines who is a fascist and racist? Can I, by extension, include communists? Or are extremists of the left OK?

Glad to see millis advocating violence openly on the JC blogs - JC, you have censored far more harmless posts - why does millis get a free pass?
