If the French Ambassador to Israel can welcome people to Jerusalem - the capital of Palestine I would put nothing past the Europeans who will throw Israel under the bus at the first opportunity. |

He's far too intelligent for that. It is his Consul in Jerusalem who has also a vague title of 'ambassador' for 'Palestine', Frédéric Desagneaux, who is an Israel-basher and is hated by French Jerusalemites. The fact is that it is French policy that Jerusalem should be divided. That does not imply that they should like to finance Hamas by paying a 'Palestinian unity government' while their rules forbid to finance a terrorist organisation. |

Could be, since Hamas rejects any recognition of Israel, this means that the flow of money from USA and EU to PA will be severely disrupted in case of a coalition 'government'. Not such a bad news.
