Camp survivor Arnost Lustig passed away on 26 February after a five year battle with cancer.
He was an internationally acclaimed author, whose works include "Darkness Casts No Shadow." It is about
two teens living in a forest after escaping German transport. He himself had been interred in Theresienstadt,
Auschwitz and Buchenwald. He was headed for Dachau when the engine of the transport train was hit by an
Allied bomber. He fled to Prague, the city of his birth, and joined the uprising.
