Matt, the problem in the UK is almost beyond repair. When a racist individual like simoneq can write the following:

"European Jews stole the land and everyone knows that.

The chickens will come home to roost for Israel"

on the Jewish Chronicle's website, and no-one seems to notice, we have a huge problem with rampant Jew hatred.

Indeed Amber, and the replies to that comment are interesting too, particularly from our resident "journalist" commentator.

This is a disraceful situation. When casual anti-Semitism is apparent on a Jewish website (let alone on Cif and the usual Israel bashing suspects), and it remains despite being flagged, we are in deep trouble.

Millis never confronts them, and frequently joins in, albeit with less vituperation.

On an optimistic note, if you go outside the radical university societies, the bien pensant circles of North London, and talk to ordinary people you will find support for Israel to be as strong in Britain as it ever has been - in spite of the best efforts of ISM, Channel 4, and the BBC.

Israel is still "one of us". And we won't give her up without a fight.

Amber, we do notice, that is why we comment here. The problem is with those that "run the show" at the JC.
They have a "line to toe" and cannot veer from it for fear of being "politically incorrect" - (or so they see it).
