As usual, Nick Clegg totally missed the point. As long as the Muslim society will be condoned for all the abuses of the extremists it generates, the problem is not likely to subside. Any such whitewashing will be seen as the weakness it is, encourages Islamism and undermines the voice of the moderate majority.
Note that Nick Clegg is much less susceptible when antisemitism is concerned. He finds it perfectly acceptable for Tonge to remain in his party. I'm not sure at all he would allow someone making anti-Arab statements to do so. One can wonder what the LibDem's Friends of Israel are really doing about that.

David Cameron thinks multi-culturism is a BAD idea and Nick Clegg thinks multi-culturism is a GOOD idea.
Who is in charge?

Jon, don't know if you noticed by Dave Cameron described in PMQs your bugbear John Ging as having done "an excellent job for UNWRA in Palestine". So, he's a politician and it depends who he's talking to. One message for CST and another for the world.
