Avraham Reiss writes.....

Otway, today Israel celebrated 44 years of Unified Jerusalem, plus re-possession of large parts of the Land of Israel. Judea/Samaria have now over a quarter of a million Jewish residents.
Doesn't it make you burn with frustration? After all, you can't do anything about it - except ... blog!

44 years is hardly eternity is it ?

And you are right I can't do anything about it.

But the Arab spring and what the world has resolved, can

How about 3000 years?
The Jewish connection to Jerusalem is an ancient and powerful one. Judaism made Jerusalem a holy city over three thousand years ago and through all that time Jews remained steadfast to it. Jews pray in its direction, mention its name constantly in prayers, close the Passover service with the wistful statement "Next year in Jerusalem," and recall the city in the blessing at the end of each meal. The destruction of the Temple looms very large in Jewish consciousness; remembrance takes such forms as a special day of mourning, houses left partially unfinished, a woman's makeup or jewelry left incomplete, and a glass smashed during the wedding ceremony. In addition, Jerusalem has had a prominent historical role, is the only capital of a Jewish state, and is the only city with a Jewish majority during the whole of the past century. In the words of its current mayor, Jerusalem represents "the purist expression of all that Jews prayed for, dreamed of, cried for, and died for in the two thousand years since the destruction of the Second Temple."
Your ignorance is all too obvious.

Otway the obsessive Israel basher continues in his quest to delegitimize Israel - courtesy of the JC blogs.

JC, this is a disgrace. This isn't simply a criticism of a particular policy, Otway is engaged in the vilification of Israel as a wholes, as are Lukas (who has written support of Hamas on these blogs), simoneq, suzanna etc.

This is ridiculous.

Otway, the "Arab spring" is a reference to the Prague spring, which resulted in a freedom movement being crushed by Soviet tanks. At least get your historical references correct.

By the way, this great movement for "freedom and democracy" has so far resulted in not one single free or democratic country yet.

Otway, let me explain this to your cretinous mind. The term "spring" in reference to freedom movements comes from the Prague Spring of 1968 - the term "Spring" in this context refers directly to this event.

Doh! An idiot thinking he got the upper hand, only to humiliate himself further.

On a point of information, the revolutions in Europe in 1848 were known as the "Spring of Nations". Just saying.

Quite apart from the very valid points raised by Amber, this jerk relates my post quoted above to Avraham Reiss, who writes under his own name, not under the pseudonym of a failed singer as does this poster.

And as Amber correctly points out, why the JC allows an anti-semitic Israel-hater to continually post in this so-called "Jewish" paper, requires explanation.

Since Avraham Reiss has been invoked by the resident Israel-hater (one of them), let's propound his explanation of JC anti-Israel hatred as part of the infamous New Israel Fund's policies - a group of ne'er-do-well people who claim to be Jewish, haven't got what it takes to live in Israel, but from the comfort of the UK and USA support pro-Arab anti-Israel activities, feeling that they are G-d's gift to the Jewish Nation.

miligram going off half-cocked as usual ... if he'd read as far as the 2nd sentence (below), he'd have moved on to filch a quote from elsewhere.

Wikipedia, Revolutions of 1848

The European Revolutions of 1848, known in some countries as the Spring of Nations, Springtime of the Peoples or the Year of Revolution, were a series of political upheavals throughout Europe. It was the first (and only) Europe-wide collapse of traditional authority, but within a year reactionary forces had won out and the revolutions collapsed
