Former Israel Radio presenter Shelly Yachimovich has declared she will seek the leadership of the Israeli Labour Party.

Polls have showed that she would win more seats for the moribund party than it has now. Given that many people have been badly effected by the economic policies of the Netanyahu-Lieberman government, perhaps the choice of a a true social-democrat such as Yachimovich is a good idea.
She, Avishai Braverman and Yitzhak "Buji" Herzog would make a fantastic team to blow away the money-led men and women who are ruining Israel.
