Sarah Palin's Jerusalem Day fashion statement

Israelis may not be overly fussed about Jerusalem Day, but at least there's one person out there who took yesterday's festivities seriously.

Not that she's from Jerusalem of course. But Sarah Palin wanted to mark the date of the reunification of Jerusalem, so she decided to make a statement. A fashion statement.

She was spotted in New York by her battle bus yesterday, sporting the glitziest of Magen David necklaces. When questioned on it, she explained: "Today is the 44th anniversary of Jerusalem being reunited," she said.

"We want to call attention to that."

This isn't the first time the comely Sarah has worn it -and I'm sure it won't be the last! Good for her! She's a staunch friend to Israel and I love her for it.

If she can find it on a map, that is.

Since when is Jerusalem the capital of Israel? Why then are all the embassies in Tel-Aviv?
Jennifer Sarah Palin is a joke. Openly stupid- deliberately so Americans can identify with her.

Jerusalem has been the capital of Israel since 1948. Embassies do not have to be in the country's capital. Maybe one day when Jerusalem is redivided along ethnic lines, there will be two sets of embassies there - one for Israel and the other for Palestine.
Tel Aviv is the capital of the Free Republic of Tel Avivia, which encompasses the area between Rishpon in the north and Ashdod in the south and goes as far east as Raanana-Fontein, Kfar Saba, Hod Hasharon and Kochav Yair-Tzur Yigal and line southwards as far as the aforementioned Ashdod (excluding the Orthodox autonomy of Bnei Brak and bits of Petach Tikva, although Haifa, Akko, Nahariya, Mevasseret Zion and Netanya have asked to be annexed to this high-employment, high-tech, low-tax area).
It is also known as the Bubble.
