Ladies and Gentlemen, Please Raise Your Glasses - To the State of Israel!

Today, 26th Iyar by the Hebrew date, Israel marks 44 years since the start of the 6 Day War.
An amazing 44 years!
The country's population has doubled, technical achievements are world-class, Israel launches its own satellites that see by night as well as by day, and uncountable other achievements, not excluding the nuclear field.
The Land is being settled at an amazing pace; patches of land that were barren for 2,000 years are blooming, Judea and Samaria are returning to the life they knew 2,000 years ago.
Israel's Air Force, whose astounding 6 Day War destruction of the Egyptian Air Force (300 planes) in 3 hours was one of the greatest Kidushei HaShem since the destruction of the 2nd Temple - second only to the creation of the State of Israel in 1948 - is one of the most advanced in the world, and due to reductions in the UK, will soon be larger than that of Britain's.
The point here, is that after 2,000 years, the Jews are defending themselves. And doing a bloody good job of it! Not yet perfect, but still bloody good!
It's not all been a bed of roses. Living in Israel for, say, 50 years, one expends the physical, emotional and mental energies that would require in England a life-span of some 250 years.
Deuteronomy, Chapter 7:
22 And the Lord thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, lest the beasts of the field increase upon thee.
Setting up a new country from scratch, one has to handle 200 different problems in parallel. Schools, hospitals, business, agriculture, the military, foreign relations, and - uniquely to Israel - huge waves of Aliyah, immigration to Israel by mostly peniless Jews - all these have to be dealt with at the same time.
So far, its been a fantastic experience, and lucky is the Jew who was born in this period and lives thru the final Renaissance of the People and Land of Israel.
The Holy Zohar, the innermost book of Israel's secrets, tells us that the Arabs were granted the right to live in the Land of Israel because they perform the mitzvah of circumcision. But because they do so in an 'empty' way, (i.e. not in accordance of the proper way in which it should be done), they were given the right to live in Israel while it is empty.
At some point in time, says the Zohar, their right will expire, the Jews will begin to return to the Land, and the Arabs (the Zohar term is Ismaelites) will begin to involve the Western world in the matter (the Zohar says 'Edom', which is regarded as the Western/Christian world), and will cause seven wars.
The penultimate war has a characteristic which I won't detail here, and the final war will be in and about Jerusalem. This is the War of Gog and Magog.
Pretty amazing for having been written 2,000 years ago, when today we don't know what that jerk in the White House will do next Sunday!
So a quiet, boring time in the near future, is NOT in the cards.
To end with a quote from Friedrich Nietzche in "The Dawn":
"Then, when the Jews can point to such gems and golden vessels as their work, such as the European peoples with their shorter and less deep experience cannot produce and never could; when Israel will have transformed its eternal revenge into an eternal blessing for Europe; then that Seventh day shall come once again on which the
ancient Jewish G-d may rejoice in himself, his creation, and his chosen people – and all of us, all of us want to rejoice with him!"

30 May, 2011 - 15:35 Rate this: 0 points | Hey Otway, hurts, doesn't it - to see the object of your hatred doing so well, and you, a goy, not being able to do anything about it except to post disjointed and meaningless comments in Jewish blogs. |
30 May, 2011 - 15:54 Rate this: 0 points | Reiss, you appear to have bought the Rapturists' end-of-the-world nonsense hook, line and sinker. Why don't you just become an Evangelist Christian and be done with it. Hang on. Perhaps you are an Evangelist Christian just posing as a Jew. Wouldn't surprise me at all. |
30 May, 2011 - 15:55 Rate this: 0 points | millis, your idiocy never surprises me. Did you used to post under the name telegramasm? |
30 May, 2011 - 15:56 Rate this: 0 points | Yes, Israel has done very well. It will be a tragedy if it is allowed to go to waste because of a belief in bricks and mortar and a few square kilometres of land. The toxic settlement enterprise has leached off the back of Israel's success, and like most pariahs will bring about the downfall of the host. |
30 May, 2011 - 15:58 Rate this: 0 points | Jonathamber, how many times do you need to be told for it to get into your thick skull? I am not now, nor have I ever been telegramsam, telegramasm or any other made-up name. |
30 May, 2011 - 16:01 Rate this: 0 points | miligram, I notice how you give Otway a free pass...siding with the haters as usual. |
30 May, 2011 - 16:03 Rate this: 0 points | Again, I think I may have to point out to you again that I do not march to your or anyone else's drum, Jonathamber. Unlike you snd Reiss, I am not a ventriloquists' dummy. |
30 May, 2011 - 16:03 Rate this: 0 points | Millis, as long as I am "Reiss", you are Telegramsam. But when you finally realize that I am not "Reiss", you will STILL be Telegramsam. You've been caught lying three times just in the last week - so nothing you say is acceptable. And as a matter of form, when you see a post that is too deep for you to comprehend - which happens fairly often here - just ignore it. |
30 May, 2011 - 16:05 Rate this: 0 points | And as far as I am concerned, Jonathamber, Reiss, "Advis3r", Simon, Otway etc are two sides of the same poisoned coin. As Steelers' Wheel sang: "Clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right..." |
30 May, 2011 - 16:08 Rate this: 0 points | Indeed, miligram, you only march to the tune of the haters, who you never criticize. If you spent one tenth of your energy defending Israel against the haters like simoneq, otway lukas that you spend attacking Jonathan Hoffman, Ian Kramer or anyone else who cares about Israel, you would demonstrate your uniqueness. As it is, you are merely an apologist for the hates and antisemites who flock here. |
30 May, 2011 - 16:08 Rate this: 0 points | Reiss, I really don't know why you persist in posting here after your vicious attacks against Stephen Pollard and Anthony Julius, two people whose intellectual prowess make you look like the low-grade fool you are. |
30 May, 2011 - 16:08 Rate this: 0 points | "two sides of the same coin..." except you only bother to criticize one side. |
30 May, 2011 - 16:09 Rate this: 0 points | Ian, amazing how he calls you Reiss, me Jonathan Hoffman, yet it is he who is the double headed viper. |
30 May, 2011 - 16:12 Rate this: 0 points | Ian Kramer, let us celebrate Israel, and her achievements, rather than running her down and apologising like miligram. |
30 May, 2011 - 16:23 Rate this: 0 points | Amber, right on! Milgram has been proven a liar on three separate occasions in the last few days alone - he hasn't offered any defense, depsite requests to do so. He cited quotes from Hebrew journalistic sources on two occasions, without translating them, and then claimed that they had said things that just weren't there. On a third occasion, today, he claimed that Israeli author Amos Oz hadn't commentd on the Scottish boycott of Israeli authors - again a lie which was proven. Just imagine what we'd find if we examined all his copius (and sickly) posts over, say, the last three months - Baron Munchausen's reputation would be in danger! And I'm glad that he's a liar. I would hate to see a cultured, honest anti-semite. I never have before. |
30 May, 2011 - 16:36 Rate this: 0 points | miligram says: - a typical extreme-leftist ploy - "everyone is wrong, only I am in the center". What an ego! |
30 May, 2011 - 16:47 Rate this: 0 points | Reiss, speaking of egos. I hear that you tried to get Stephen Pollard and other JC staff members barred from Israel. Did you succeed? I hear, and I really had to laugh when I heard it, that you said that you would contact Rabbi Ovadiah Yossef to tell Eli Yishai to do the barring. is that true? Did it work? |
30 May, 2011 - 16:49 Rate this: 0 points | Reiss, when you point your stubby little finger and make accusations you can't back up, just remember I view it as a gift from God. The real God, not the one you Evangelists believe in. |
31 May, 2011 - 09:18 Rate this: 0 points | miligram, The fact that the 1st 2 were deleted, is not my problem, behind which you are hiding. In fact, your post above this one is your FIFTH lie. Let's see you defend yourself against the 1st 2: 1. a so-called bomb attack on Livini's house 2. attributing the term 'far right' to a Maariv report that in fact said "right-activists. Come on miligram, explain why you lied twice. |
31 May, 2011 - 09:38 Rate this: 0 points | Reiss, more gifts from the Almighty. Mickey Mouse mechupas Le'Tarzan. |
31 May, 2011 - 09:56 Rate this: 0 points | Well, when someone has been caught lying on 5 separate occasions, in the space of a week or so, and can't defend himself because the charges are all true,I guess that Mickey Mouse would be his only resort. I'm glad you can't defend yourself - I'd hate to see an honest anti-semite. But note that in future all your so-called quotes from Hebrew sources will be similarly scrutinised. And show me a quote where I mentioned Rav Ovadiah anywhere: put up - or shut up. |
31 May, 2011 - 10:44 Rate this: 0 points | miligram, you are a proven liar. You side with the antisemites. You are an obsessive self-serving egotist. |
31 May, 2011 - 10:54 Rate this: 0 points | miligram, when someone has been caught lying so often in so little time, he has to revert to a new nom de plume - like you've done several times before. We're on the watch for the new miligram ... he'll be easily identifiable by his content. |
31 May, 2011 - 11:22 Rate this: 0 points | See which Mickey Mouse - the most laughable poster here in years - is calling other posters Mickey Mouse. |
31 May, 2011 - 11:55 Rate this: 0 points | miligram, You’ve been caught out with your knickers down ... ... it's now public knowledge. |
31 May, 2011 - 14:27 Rate this: 0 points | It has been suggested to me that Kramer , Amber and Yoni are the same person but I don't believe a word of It. |
