As if the Jewish people ever celebrated massacres, even those of enemies.
The good thing with Syria is that it cannot be much worse than it already is. In fact, the situation might be better after Assad quits. Hamas is already out and their support to the Assad regime makes sure they won't be there again for some time. Hezbollah's support to Assad will lose them part of their delivery channel for Iranian weapons.
Of course, the new Syria will still be an enemy of Israel, but that isn't a change, is it? But they have no peace treaty they can violate. So this is quite different from Egypt and Jordan.
