The Flotilla Fools

The JC reports that this week activists in the UK have been lobbying Prime Minister David Cameron and the Greek ambassador to "guarantee their safe passage".
By the same tokem since the Flotilla is illegallly trying to breach a legal blockade will Britain now have armed robbers seeking safe passage from the Government to rob banks or ships carrying illegal immigrants seeking safe passage from the Royal Navy to land in British ports?
The stupidity of these fools never ceases to amaze me.

If the flotilla activists were delivering solely humanitarian goods and nothing of a military or terrorist nature, they could go through the proper channels and proceed with their humanitarian gesture. These people want publicity more than anything else. The ultimate justice would be the cessation of hostilities from the Gaza. When terrorists stop launching missles into Israel from Gaza, then and only then can Israel relax the blockade. The flotilla activists will not. Entertainer boycotts of Israel will not. Justice outweighs bad publicity. |

If they were interested in reconciling the conflict, they could contact both sides, and easily enough be in contact with Gilad's family through numerous channels if they so desired. |

It does seem that Greece and Israel are digging a big hole for themselves. Had the ships sailed it would have been a short ritual dance kind of affair. A bit of a yawn really.
Now it looks like a lengthy stand off with many twists and turns, and probably a dramatic highly news worthy end.
And the activists have sort of won, in the sense that the world is embarrassed and irritated by recent events, and in consequence the siege of Gaza is that much nearer its end.Certainly the sum total of publicity about the situation will be greater than it would have been had the Greeks not intervened.
