Obama stabs Israel in the back - again!

Before the parties have even sat down to discuss terms President Obama, delivering his first major address tackling the uprisings in the Middle East, on Thursday endorsed the Palestinians' demand for their own state based on the borders that existed before the 1967 Middle East war. In effect rewarding the Arabs for their aggression in three wars and putting the parties back to where they were in 1949. One can guage how happy the Arabs are at being so rewarded Mr Abbas has already called an emergency meeting of his cabinet. He has of course no reason now to declare a unilateral state or even conduct negotiations with Israel the US President has done all that for him. Any attempt by Israel to negotiate terms would be seized upon by the Arabs as obstruction.
Obama has therefore pushed Israel into a corner hopefully this will mean he has forfeited any chance of winning the 2012 election because 65% of the US electorate support Israel and no one other than the Arabs themselves and the far left in Israel have talked about a withdrawal of this magnitude. Hamas must be wetting themselves.
As for Mr Netanyahu he would be well advised to pack his bags and come home - any speech he would make to the US Congress now would be a complete waste of time. Even as far as he was prepared to go which is more than any Prime Minister before him does not match Obama's outrageous proposals and so he would be seen as a rejectionist.
