For the benefit of Mr Walinets
According to Wikipedia the term fisking is blogosphere slang describing a point-by-point criticism that highlights perceived errors, or disputes the analysis in a statement, article, or essay.
Eric S. Raymond, in the Jargon File, defined the term as:
A point-by-point refutation of a blog entry or (especially) news story. A really stylish fisking is witty, logical, sarcastic and ruthlessly factual; flaming or handwaving is considered poor form.
I was going to fisk your response to me but after I read your attempt at humour i.e. "It's reasonable to ask therefore if the Supreme Court wasn't being a little biassed (sic) in such judgements?" I thought to myself what is the purpose of wasting yet more valuable time.
By the way my name is Norman Cohen I have previously posted that and you can read all about me on my public profile.

If it helps, you might reflect on the fact that before the creation of Israel, those early Zionists who started the Kibbutz movement were sincere and honourable socialists - yes, SOCIALISTS. OK? So now start thinking with your brain, instead of those over-sensitive nerve-ends in your knee. |

Norman - you write:
"I was going to fisk your response to me but after I read your attempt at humour i.e. "It's reasonable to ask therefore if the Supreme Court wasn't being a little biassed (sic) in such judgements?" I thought to myself what is the purpose of wasting yet more valuable time."
Norman - This is a patronising and dishonest sneer. My question about possible bias by the Supreme Court was a perfectly legitimate question I put to you; but rather than respond to it honestly, you choose to dismiss it as an "attempt at humour".
You do not even mention the TWO OTHER EXAMPLES of the Court's decisions which I gave, which demonstrate that when the Court has decided in favour of Palestinians, its decisions are simply ignored by the Israeli authorities. This is fully typical of your practice of simply ignoring any facts you prefer not to face.
Here are those two Hearst examples again, in case you're interested:
1) ".... the tenacity with which Mohamed Hussain Jibor, a farmer, clings to a rock-strewn patch of land in the South Hebron hills in 38 degrees heat. His water cistern has been destroyed three times this year because he does not have a permit for it, EVEN THOUGH THE COURT ACKNOWLEDGES IT IS HIS LAND....."
2) "Bil'in has been struggling for almost six years against the Wall that was built ON OUR LANDS. The illegality and absurdity of this wall has been recognized worldwide AND EVEN BY THE ISRAELI SUPREME COURT, WHICH RULED IT MUST BE DISMANTLED OVER THREE YEARS AGO." (my capitals)
Yet another example of your avoidance scheme: In the final paragraph of my first response to your 'Fisking Wallinets' blog, I wrote:-
"Advis3r - please consider this:-
If Israel keeps on behaving as it does, asserting it can do no wrong, and that it must never be criticised because anyone who criticises it is an anti-semite and a Hollocaust-denier etc etc - if the in my view PERFECTLY LEGITIMATE State of Israel persists in this behaviour, then the growth of anti-Semitism WILL become world-wide. And it will damage us ALL, you and me - notwithstanding the $3bn-plus annual support it currently depends on from the US. Think about it."
I then wrote, after my later reponse to Amber's criticism of that blog, that I was hoping you'd respond to that final paragraph. You didn't.
I NOW REALISE JUST HOW YOU DEAL WITH IDEAS YOU DON'T LIKE AND CAN'T ANSWER.
You've developed a 'clever' device by which you evade ANYTHING you can't answer. You simply create lots of SHORT blogs, in each of which you pick out little bits of people's original arguments and 'deal' with them QUITE SEPARATELY from the original blog in which the argument appeared, so that readers probably won't bother to look up what was actually written by the person you're putting down.
Examples:
This present blog "FISKING" (for the benefit of Mr Walinets)...";
"Skovronet2/Walinets/Hearst Israel haters all";
"Fisking Wallinets".
And to cap it all, after spending so much of your time in dreaming up these avoidance tactics, you write, above, "I thought to myself what is the purpose of wasting yet more valuable time."
At least I can share that feeling with you.
Please note, Norman/Advis3r: In future, if you disagree with any thing I've written, enter your argument IN THE BLOG I actually wrote it in. Otherwise, I will not waste my time following up your arguments in these evasive dribs and drabs packages you employ.
I hope you understand.
