An Appeal from Itamar

Dear friends and fellow Jews,

As the UN vote on Palestinian statehood approaches, Israeli security forces are gearing up for more Arab violence. Nowhere is this more apparent than in Judea and Samaria, where IDF intelligence has already determined that large scale provocations on the roads, mass marches on settlements and the destruction of Jewish infrastructure and agriculture will be attempted.

Here in Itamar, as a new school year begins, we see the mood of the local Arabs changing, and we're bracing ourselves for all contingencies. At the same time, for the sake of our children, we're obliged to continue as if nothing extraordinary were in the offing.

Out on the hilltops of Itamar, where there are no security fences, and parents acknowledge that faith in the Almighty is their only true defense against enemy aggression, we are asking for your support, for the sake of our children. Please take a minute to review the following website that contains a three paragraph blog entry succinctly explaining our dilemma.

And kindly forward this email to five like-minded friends or family members.

With G-d's help, may we all succeed.

Aryeh Katz

"... large scale provocations on the roads, mass marches on settlements and the destruction of Jewish infrastructure and agriculture will be attempted."

This is "more Arab violence"?

How do you define 'violence'? The 'provocations on the roads' would presumably be on those roads that have been specially built - on West Bank land - for illegal settlers, which Palestinians are not permitted to use. Why ever should those illegally banished Palestinians NOT be allowed to at least demonstrate on the those illegal settlement areas stolen from them?

As to what "IDF intelligence has already determined" will be "destruction of Jewish infrastructure and agriculture" - if IDF intelligence has determined its going to happen, then it's actually going to happen, is it?
Well then, if my intelligence has determined that there's going to be IDF violence, then that's going to happen too, right?
This sounds like a game of 'My chrystal ball's are bigger than your's, mate'.
Though perhaps the example of the IDF killings on the Mavi Marmara does show that an IDF determination that there will be violence, can indeed turn out to be correct....

Mr Walinets how is it possible to steal something that belongs to you and always has is something you will have to explain.
There never was an Arab State called Palestine so Israel could not have stolen land belonging to it.
Secondly if Jews were permitted to settle in Judea and Samaria before those territories were illegally annexed by Jordan in 1949 why is it illegal now?
Thirdly Arabs living in Judea and Samaria were free to use what ever roads they chose until some of their number decided that this gave them an excellent opportunity to shoot and kill Jews - accordingly by-pass roads were constructed to make the terrorists' job a little more harder.
Fourthly I suggest you read the Palmer Report on what actually went on on the Mavi Marmara - going armed with paint-ball guns would not in any sensible person's perception evidence a determination that there will be violence somewhat the opposite I would say and so did the Palmer Report. On the other hand the armed thugs on the boat evidenced an intention for violence from the word go as the plethora of video evidence quite clearly shows.

An interesting view of history. When I was a schoolboy in Leeds, in the 1940's, our rougher 'yok' schoolmates in the playground would shout at us "Get back to Palestine!" What on earth do you think they were referring to?
They also used to shout "Hitler's a Jew!"
Perhaps Hitler never existed either?
