Why are taunting antisemitic blogs and bloggers given free rein on the JC Blogs?

3 October, 2010 - 11:16 Rate this: 0 points | stephenb is a definite antisemite, Deborah - he's made some disgraceful comments recently, full of stereotypes. It just pains me that he's allowed to make them with impunity. Seeing his posts of yesterday made me snap. Jonathan, you might be correct - probably the Jewish festivals have meant that the antisemites can make hay while the sun shines! May their activities come to an abrupt halt! The proof of the pudding and all that... |
3 October, 2010 - 12:17 Rate this: 1 point | Maccoby, I assume you ask as a challenge - because you find it inconceivable that your fellow Israel bashing travellers are antisemites. Well stephenb has said that Jews need Jesus, and that Jews encourage stereotypes about themselves. Oh, and incidentally, he hates Israel. What a coincidence. Zair regularly calls the IDF the IOF, thus insulting every member of the IDF who has died defending Jewish people since 1948. That's not a criticism of a policy - it is hatred of Israel itself - which is antisemitic. The constant and endless stream of anti-Israel posting from ISM, ibrows etc is also evidence of antisemitism - because this criticism comes at the exclusion of all else - in other words, these posters are ONLY interested in attacking Israel - they are not critical of certain policies set in the wider context of the conflict, which would mean having to criticize Hamas, Hizbollah, Fatah, Iran etc. No, they ONLY attack one country - Israel, which, for its faults (and all countries have faults), is a bastion of human rights and freedoms compared to the obscenities carried out by countries like Iran and Syria, and their terrorist proxies (and this is indeed relevant to the conflict). Only a rabid Jew hater can hate Israel to the exclusion of all else, and these posters fit into this category - as apparently, do you. |
3 October, 2010 - 12:19 Rate this: 1 point | There used to be others too - remember eisner, who claimed Jews only care about themselves? Guess what - he hated Israel too - what a coincidence. |
3 October, 2010 - 12:22 Rate this: 1 point | Yvetta, thanks so much for posting this. The policy has to change - or else the JC blogs will just become a platform for every antisemite. Anyone at the JC listening? |
3 October, 2010 - 12:24 Rate this: 1 point | Jonathan, much as you'd like to have it, I suspect you have no control over who does and who does not post here. You yourself have used this chag to unleashed the most disgusting attacks on people, some of which have bordered on antisemitism (the attack on the Holocust survivor). Them wot live in glass houses etc etc etc... |
3 October, 2010 - 12:54 Rate this: 1 point | The blog of a Jewish newspaper should have a Zero Tolerance policy of antisemites. Otherwise it becomes indistinguishable from Stormfront or Guardian CIF. I suggest that if it continues, we just stop posting here and let it become a pure hate site |
3 October, 2010 - 14:16 Rate this: 0 points | Indeed, Jonathan, just as Jewish organisations should have zero tolerance towards groups that are not ashamed to have their balaklava'ed members use Nazi salutes at their demos. |
3 October, 2010 - 15:11 Rate this: 0 points | please explain 1. why you do not live in Gaza, N Korea or Riyadh where the State controls who demos on the streets 2. why you have not accepted my offer of a subsidy to fly you to one of these places UJIA would be much better off without your treachery. |
3 October, 2010 - 15:25 Rate this: -1 points | Because, Jonathan, if you had words with the police, you could have a separate pen. |
3 October, 2010 - 15:33 Rate this: 2 points | The reason that the JC entertains anti-semites on the blog is that they seem to have a "holier than thou" attitude. This response was received from th JC in a direct piece of correspondence when challenged on this issue:- "it is not only important that we cover all stories, and offer out view as a candid friend, I would also maintain it is our duty. If we didn't, we would be just a propaganda sheet". Those running the JC seem to forget/ignore the fact that the publication is called "The Jewish Chronicle". In my opinion this should not be a forum for anti-semites, self-hating Jews and Israel de-legitimisers. I join with amber, Yvetta and Jonathan Hoffman in appealing to the JC to change tack. |
3 October, 2010 - 15:44 Rate this: 2 points | You are a hypocrite T-Sham. You want to live in a free society but want to control who demonstrates on the streets. Moreover you whinge about the demos without ever coming. Go to Gaza and see how Hamas welcomes you. The worst thing is, you're a crass bore. |
3 October, 2010 - 15:44 Rate this: -2 points | Deborah didn't ask for names she simply asked for one recent example of an anti semitic post. tap tap tap |
3 October, 2010 - 15:47 Rate this: -2 points | The blog of a Jewish newspaper should have a Zero Tolerance policy of antisemites. gulp shucks I am really gonna miss you folks |
3 October, 2010 - 16:15 Rate this: -1 points | jonathan honey there was life before JC blogs and there is a rumour that there could be life after them. Anyways is it true that your family ideally would like to have you sectioned but are keeping the option as a very very last resort cuz that is what i heard this afternoon anyways deborah is still waiting for one example of an anti semitic post and didnt you know it was rude to keep a lady waiting ? |
3 October, 2010 - 16:34 Rate this: -1 points | Boring I may be, but Jews under no circumstances should stand with those who raise their arms in a Nazi salute. I've been to my fair share of pro-Israel demos over the decades and I can assure you that if neo-Nazis such as the EDL/BNP were to turn up on my side, I'd simply walk away. Todah, aval lo todah. |
3 October, 2010 - 16:38 Rate this: -2 points | Jon-I-Cohen, why don't you complain to your friend, the Third Reiss, the patron saint of the criminally undemedicated? You are one of the worst offenders here when it comes to hatred, especially the baseless kind. |
3 October, 2010 - 17:31 Rate this: -1 points | "you are dead by tomorrow you antisemitic piece of sh^t" Jonathan. I know you are passionate but that is simply not appropriate. Please have respect for other peoples opinions and stop being threatening. |
3 October, 2010 - 18:44 Rate this: 1 point | telegramsam "I've been to my fair share of pro-Israel demos over the decades" (Presumably as a counter-demonstrator, sirrah?) |
3 October, 2010 - 18:48 Rate this: 1 point | Amber, I'm not so sure that Tom has left us - I get a sense of deja-vu when a certain Israel-basher posts. |
3 October, 2010 - 21:10 Rate this: 0 points |
Sorry IMHO That shouldn't even remotely be allowed to become an option. |
3 October, 2010 - 22:21 Rate this: 2 points | stephenb, I provided Maccoby with examples - including by you, you racist piece of garbage. I'm glad you're being banned, as an antisemitic scumbag. Now you can talk to yourself. |
4 October, 2010 - 02:04 Rate this: 0 points | Amber dear you provided no examples but rather rewrote a couple of my posts in your own child like idiom " jews need jesus " now where did i say that and why would i say it the guys been dead 2000 years what possible use could he be to anyone now. ( and wasnt he just a lil bit jewish or am i confusing him with someone else ) " jews encourage steryotypes about themselves " well.... now you are just lying. is there any chance you maybe might expand your vocabulary, being a scum bag is getting a lil boring |
4 October, 2010 - 05:29 Rate this: 0 points | stephenb Your reference to Jews and money (in the Ahava thread) was antisemitic and despicable. And you know it. You will surely be banned. |

Yvetta, could you provide one example of antisemitism from recent comments on the JC blogs?
Many thanks,
