Our special guest from AJEX is Mr David Elias Sherman who is a Trustee of AJEX and the Chairman of the Finchley and Hampstead Garden Suburb branch. He lived in London throught the Blitz as his parents chose not to evacuate him.
He served in the Royal Air Force from 1953 to 1955 and was staioned in Berlin during the Cold War. He was taught Russian and listened to communications from Russian aeroplanes.
We are delighted he is coming to speak to us and I am sure his grandchildren, Hannah and Danieel will love having their grandpa at school!

You appear to have a London-centric idea of what North West means. Living in Manchester, North West means NW England, not NW London.

I think you should change your user name to North West London School as recognition that life exists outside the Metropolis.

As a one-time resident of North West London and now NW England where there are quite a few Jewish schools I found this a bit confusing at first.

This name was given to the School's blog by the JC. We prefer to be known by our whole school name which is North West London Jewish Day School.
