mark regev - is he not the guy that told us israel only uses weapons that comply with the geneva convention, while we were watching phosporous shells raining down on a hospital, on tv behind him?

is he not also the man that told us that israel was a civilised nation, and would never stop ambulances attending the wounded in gaza, when we had evidence later in the goldstone report, that children and been clinging to their dead parents for days while the idf were shooting at abulances trying to get through?

i could go on.

clearly israel has disarmed itself in the battle of world opinion, as you put it, because of its actions. and while you may think that mark regev presents well from an israeli perception, every time he appears on tv, israel looses another couple of thousand people accross the world, who might have been prepared to listen to israels case - poor as it generally is.

Actually, those were Charles Moore's words about world opinion. I hope Israel heeds what he says.
Mark can only be as good as his information - and this time there seems to have been such confusion; Jon Snow knew about Turkey's vow to accompany future flotillas with a warship before Mark did, for instance. Mark was clearly flummoxed.
