Viv throws his toys out of the pram

Following David Cameron's comments in Turkey, the Board of Deputies has issued the following (very) brief statement:

Vivian Wineman, Board President said:

"If the new Government wishes to be a credible player in the Middle East Peace Process, it should avoid one-sided, emotive language."

Vivian Wineman has a reputation for being an intelligent, thoughtful person, albeit easily manipulated. Did he really say something as crass as this? Or has someone been putting words into his mouth? This sounds much more like something from his overlords at the Jewish Leadership Council, or cobbled together by The PR Office.

(As an aside, if the Board is going to be declaring war on the government, they might want to think about removing the picture of David Cameron that is currently gracing the front page of their website.)

Crass?
It is the very model of a temperate response.
Well-justified, too.

Wineman has more intelligence in the fingernail of his little finger than you will ever have in your sick little bigoted mind.

I totally agree that Vivian is very intelligent. However, he is also easily manipulated. I don't think he wrote the words attributed to him.

And you're just a bully and a thug. I have no respect at all for your opinions, so I'm not offended when you call me names - I know you do it to everyone you disagree with. But it is very immature.

Interesting that you moan about name calling then proceed to do the same yourself. Here's another name: hypocrite.

Speaking of names, why do you hide behind a pseudonym? It's easy to talk trash while hiding your identity isn't it?

Don't get me wrong, you might be a perfectly nice person, but since I can only judge you on what you write, and most of it is pretty stupid, that's not the impression I get.

Making ad hominem remarks about a named communal leader from an apparent personal chip-on-the-shoulder or grudge-bearing standpoint while hiding behind an alias oneself is indeed a tad cowardly.
