Richard Morrison has a fantastic piece in today's Times about a summer school performance of The Creation conducted by Sir Charles Mackerras. It's one of those rare pieces that conveys the spirit of a performance, and makes you feel almost as if you were there.
Here's my question: has Sir Charles ever conducted a less than superb performance. In 30 years, I've never heard one.
