Updated: ZF joins Israeli embassy and JfJfP in fight against EDL

It's great to see that the Israeli embassy in London and Jews for Justice for Palestinians have made a common cause to fight the English Defence League, an offshoot of the Holocaust-denying BNP which has fooled a few Jews into thinking it is pro-Israel. They have been joined by the Zionist Federation, too. Well done Harvey Rose, you are a bigger mensch than previously thought.

The initiative of the Union of Jewish Students, the campaign is a response to the creation of a "Jewish division" by the extreme right-wing anti-Islamic-fundamentalist group earlier this year, and the EDL's pro-Israel protest outside the Israeli Embassy last month, which was supported by American rabbi Nachum Shifren.

The "Not in our name" group's founding pledge states: "The Jewish community has always been at the forefront of anti-fascism. From Cable Street to defeating the BNP at the ballot box, we have been unafraid to speak out against those who seek to spread fear and hatred in our communities.

"Now our community faces a new threat. The EDL claims to be our allies in the fight against extremism. In reality, they are violent racists with BNP members and Nazi sympathisers among their ranks.

"It is time for the Jewish community to come together as one to expose the EDL as the racist thugs they are."

UJS campaigns director Carly McKenzie said: "We felt this was a prime opportunity to bring the whole community together with one loud voice."

But Roberta Moore, of the EDL's Liebstandarde Jude, is not convinced.

But Roberta Moore, head of the EDL Jewish Division, claimed the campaigners had "betrayed the Jewish community" and challenged them to a filmed public debate. She said: "Let's have it all out in the open once and for all."
"We are not bothered by their futile threats and attempts to silence us. We, and much of the Jewish community, know they lack the courage to address the issues we highlight. They have not been doing their job for a long time, and seem to have not only abandoned but betrayed the Jewish community in general."

There is a picture of Ms Moore at the Ahava demo. The geezer on the right is unidentified.

How clever of Spammo's Mummy, she has taught him how to delete an old post and republish it.

Next she will be teaching him the difference between lies and truth.

So, who is going to deal with the growing Islamic threat in the UK? The Board Of Deputies?

Where on this web site is there any direct anti-semitism?

http://www.englishdefenceleague.org

and the Muslimas get away with burning poppies on armistice day?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-11744811

You've got it the wrong way round!

It's the Muslims who ARE the threat NOT the EDL.

The EDL are a tiny minority group, they pose NO threat.

in 5 years time over 10% of the UK's population will be Moslem - what percentage of that number will be fanatical extremists? You tell me.
You can be sure that the vast majority will be tacit supporters, as they are now.

Once again the LEFT get it badly wrong.

Oh dear, Jonathan's gone all abusive and defensive. He must not agree with his bosses' decision to fight the neo-Nazi EDL/BNP. Will he reign in protest or cease to stand with the EDL?

The left, JIC? The Israeli embassy is the left? The ZF? EDL is a BNP off-shoot. The BNP are Holocaust-denying Nazis. And you don't have a problem with that?

No one is under any illusions concerning the EDL.However ,to mention Zionist Federation in the same breath as the JFJFP is an anathema to every person ,Jew and non Jew who supports Israel and wishes to see a fair and equitable solution to the conflict.

The self hating " As a Jew " members of JFJFP are always ready to demonstrate and show solidarity with those who loathe Israel and wish to see its demise . They are well aware that groups like PSC ,ISM and other Socialist and Islamo fascist organisations reject out of hand the notion of a two state solution .

They stand fore square with antisemites and delegitimizers and thus in my book they are 100 times worse then the EDF . They are the natural inheritors of the pre war German Jews who as " enlightened cultured intellectuals " believed that by ingratiating themselves with the German culture and rejecting their own would somehow leave them immune to the gathering storm.

The same is true today . These useful dupes are only of value for the duration of the struggle . Beneath the surface they are reviled as sell outs by both sides .

They are the equivalent of Kapos but at least the Kapos of the Holocaust had a good reason for their actions .There is no good reason for the abhorrent actions of these latter day quislings .

So, Harvey, the Israeli embassy and the ZF is collaborating with kapos? Simply astounding.

Of course he's deleted it. For one thing, I pulled the rug from under his idiotic equation of the EDL with neo-Nazis. The only neo-Nazis I see here are the Islamofascists and their thick friends, incl. Obergruppenfuehrer Spammo.

I updated it, Yoni, to include the ZF in an update about who is fighting the neo-Nazis. But don't let facts get in the way of a yarn.

For someone who 'corrects' other posters' grammar (as in 'who/whom', Obergruppenfuehrer Spammo has a very dodgy grasp of the difference between plural and singular nouns (18:22). Did you skip English classes when you attended the Wehrmacht academy, Herr Spammo?

You didn't 'update' it, except in the Ministry of Truth sense.

You spotted it. Well done, Yoni. There is no edit function here, unfortunately.

I updated it in the sense that I noticed that the ZF, under the menschlichkeit leadership of Harvey Rose, has abandoned those who stand with the BNP/EDL and joined the Israeli embassy and JfJfP in the fight against the holocaust-denying antisemites.

Antisemites on the left, antisemites on the right, islamist antisemites, ecologist antisemites. The more they changes the more it is the same thing.
During the Dreyfus affair, the divide was similar and bi-partisan.

Antisemitism is not a matter of party, just of being full of hate and needing a scapegoat for it. JFJP is no different than EDL in this respect.

Spam

Please provide a link which states that the Zionist Federation or the Israeli embassy welcomes the support of the JFJFP in their fight against the EDL.Do not be so disingenuous as to conflate common cause with reciprocal recognition .Neither the Zionist Federation or the Israeli Embassy would countenance any involvement or interaction with the JFJFP ,an organisation which runs au contraire to the best interests of Israel .

Its much the same as the EDL turning up to demonstrate outside Ahava alongside supporters of Israel. There is a common cause in countering the Socialists and Islamo fascists but it does not mean we align ourselves with or condone the EDL .They are simply there and so are we.

Suggest you go back to the drawing board as that rebuttal leaves you busted .

Well said Harvey.
As I said earlier it is NOT the EDL that pose any threat, and association with the the JFJFP is just laughable.
No less a man than the Commander of the UK's Armed Forces, General Sir David Richards acknowledges that the most serious threat today is from the Islamists, when he drew similarities between militant Islam's "pernicious ideology" and that of Nazi Germany.

Harvey,

I don't know if I understood it correctly, but perhaps you can clarify it for me.

I gathered from your post that the nor the ZF nor the Israeli Embassy would have any involvement or interaction with the JFJFP.

But did the ZF and the Israeli Embassy sign a pledge to join the UJS in their campaign "Not in my name" against the EDL? Yes or No?

If yes, please elaborate the reasons. I want to understand the logic behind these actions.
