UNIFIL - What's that?

This kind of thing is so frustrating. Nobody will care or pay any attention, until Hezbollah attacks Israel, Israel retaliates, and Israel is painted as the bad guy yet again.

It's a sad and familiar story...

Obviously, UNIFIL is there to "prevent an Israeli attack". Theoretically, it was also there to prevent Hezbollah from rearming. Tsahal revealed the obvious: that this goal was is fact a joke.
When UNIFIL tried to enter a suspect village last week, they were attacked by the villagers themselves and had to retreat. When Israel will be forced to retaliate against the villagers, the UN will be able to blame Israel again for something UN has been unable to prevent.
