Tonge tied

I was lost for words when I read that Jenny Tonge wants Israel to disprove allegations that its medical teams used the opportunity to harvest organs while on a humanitarian mission in Haiti. "To prevent allegations such as these — which have already been posted on YouTube — going any further, the IDF and the Israeli Medical Association should establish an independent inquiry immediately to clear the names of the team in Haiti," said Tonge.

But then I realised that I might be able to conduct an ad hoc inquiry of my own.

My good friends Tammy Dolgin, (see my recent blog post) and Dr. Harvey Belik have just returned to Israel from their medical humanitarian mission to Haiti. They're a bit exhausted after their incredible efforts to assist Haitian survivors and they have gone straight back to work here, but I'll call them up as soon as I can and tell them about Tonge's concerns.

I'm sure they won't mind me asking them whether in addition to treating the very many wounded survivors, and helping to set up a new school for local children, many of whom are now orphans, they managed to find the time to harvest organs from dead bodies.

I'll let Jenny Tonge know their response.

The best response.

I would ask who harvested Tonge's brain, but that would be to assume she ever had one in the first place.

Ok this may be a nonesense comment by Tonge but let that not detract from the fact that Isreali IDF soldiers admitted harvesting organs(reported on CNN among others) - even taking corneas and gluing eye lids so that the parents or relatives would not notice. This subject is no laughing matter.

The appropriately named Moshe Fukks is quite wrong - he has made this subject a laughing matter. So the IDF soldiers harvested corneas, very talented these soldiers. Do they have a cornea extracting device attached to their helmets, maybe they have a frig capable of working in desert conditions for storing the corneas on their belts? Wonder where they keep the glue.

I can assure you that having known Jenny Tonge for a considerable time she has a first class brain and more importantly she is a wonderful human being.Contrary to Zionist/Edgware belief she is not and never has been anti-semitic, if she were to be I would certainly not be a close faithful friend of hers
I did however stumble across this on the interet which I think needs looking into..

For the sarcastic remarks about soldiers being able to take out corneas (and other organs) - every army has army medical units - stupid.
So are you now going against what army officers admitted doing?

Dear Oh dear - what planet are these people on?
Perhaps they simply live in another dimension?
Deluded is not a strong enough word.
@tomeisner2
she is a wonderful human being?
her whole political raision d'etre is antisemitism - relying on House of Lords Privelage to avoid prosecution for racial hatred. A vicious antisemite of the old school.
As for the latest antisemite troll to pop up on this web site, "Moshe Fukks", couldn't you think of anything more original? but then I suppose with a two digit IQ that would be difficult.
As JH said you're on the wrong web site, so go find a web site that is suited to your ravings.

So is it true or not? Did Israelis remove or did they not remove body parts? That is all we want to know, quite simple really

Because Jenny Tonge has criticised Israel's actions does not make her anti semitic It his her right as a decent human being to criticise that country.

She is NOT a decent human being, she is an antisemite; and therefore has foregone her right to crtiscise Israel - did you not hear her on Question Time?

I didn't hear question time, but please tell me what she has said that is antisemitic?

What a despicable suggestion from that seemingly overwought woman, who behaved so rudely to a fellow female panellist on Question Time a couple of weeks ago, interrupting her and making almost insulting remarks.
She is asking, in effect, that Israel (i.e. "The Jew among the Nations") puts itself in the dock to defend itself against a modern Blood Libel.
Wicked.
Not only that, but she should realise - no doubt she does - that it is virtually impossible to prove a negative, a non-happening.

There's no doubt that suggesting such a thing without any evidence is despicable, however as this reports shows there's never 'smoke without fire'

John, that's nonsense. Tonge has form on this and Clegg should be ashamed of himself.

Never smoke without fire, eh?
What an utterly stupid and dangerous supposition, one that gave succour to the persecutors of our people for millenia - not to mention all the poor witches burnt at the stake by Witchfinder-General Hopkins and his sort.

Yvetta.

Read the quote in context.
Did you read the link?
It clearly states, and admitted by soldiers, that the Israeli army (and presumably government), have been involved in this area in the past.

John, what was acknowledged was that Israeli surgeons took organs (without seeking permission), but they later apologised for that and said they wouldn't do it again. Harvesting organs implies that they went out with the sole purpose of killing people for the organs. That was never done.

moshe.

It must be said that what was done in the past was cynical - There was never an official (or even an informal apology). They have never apologized!

Now any modern country with an inkling of a conscience would do so - quickly.

Whilst you are "stumbling across " obscure troofer sites ,perhaps you might care to stumble across the Hamas Charter and take note of its vicious antisemitic content.
Tonge like others such as Galloway are strong supporters and indeed friends of Hamas despite being aware of the antisemitic nature of this terrorist entity.
By way of comparison, the failure to disassociate is akin to the international support from right wing groups given to the Afrikkaners during the Apartheid years . They are rascist by association as is Tonge for failing to condemn and continuing to support the openly antisemitic Hamas .

Well said John Gold.
What Israel might have done in Haiti was at least with dead bodies, and not live humans as was the case in Gaza where the IDFl killed 1400 last year.

Now finally I want to spell out something to all those who refuse to believe it, and I am going to use capitals.

JENNY TONGE,WHO IS A GREAT FRIEND OF MINE DEFINITELY NEVER HAS BEEN ANTISEMITIC. IT IS HER RIGHT AS IS ALSO MINE TO CRITICISE ISRAEL'S ACTIONS.

John G, I don't often agree with Moshe, nor he with me (though I do find him stimulating ;~}), but in this case I back his comment to the hilt.
As for you, Tom, you appear to believe the Blood Libel re Haiti. For shame!

It seems you will agree with anyone (or believe anything) - that will appease your conscience!

If you can give me one link to a news site or credible website (i.e Israeli government portal) of Israel apologizing for their past actions regarding this matter - I will agree with you, otherwise I have to assume you (like many others in the Jewish community) are living in denial.

Tonge has been sacked from the front bench.

Better than nothing,

She should have been expelled from the LibDem Party.

Actually Israel should be sacked from taking part in all sport events and cultural events. Mind you if you open your ears and eyes and talk to non-Jews, yes there are some out there, they nearly all regard Israel as an embarrassment and most are sickened by what this country did last year in Gaza. Wake up to life outside the ghetto.
I shall out demonstrating tomorrow outside my local supermarket against them selling Israeli produce and nearly everyone entering the shop will be agreeing with me. OK?
