The Palestinian Authority said the elections would also be held in the Gaza Strip, though it remains unclear how a vote there could go ahead without the support of Hamas.

The Islamist group said in a statement on Tuesday that it would not take part in any election called by the PA and would not allow any vote in Gaza. It said the call for local elections was not legitimate because it came from a president who himself had lost legitimacy.

“We in the Islamist resistance movement will recognise neither these elections, nor their results, and will consider them as if they had not been held,” the Hamas statement said.

So we shall have one government in Gaza, another one in Judea Samaria. With Jordan, the first 'Palestinian' state, that will be three 'Palestines' (West, East and Jordan), representing 80% of the original British Mandate, for 11 million people. The 20% remaining, more than half of which is somehow hostile to human life, will be shared by 7 million inhabitants. Guess who is better served? (hint: you need third grade maths to solve the problem)

Not only that, but Palestinian Authority elections usually result in blood-letting between the two factions and they seem to have a penchant for electing terrorists to govern them!

What is even less funny is that their usual way to solve their disputes is to commit more war crimes against Israel so as to provoque retaliation. Then they agree in condemning the retaliation. Scapegoating of Israel is the best way to agree about something in this area... And not only this one: would anyone believe that racist religious islamists would walk hand in hand with pseudo anti-racist, anti-religious lefties, if there wasn't an Israel to scapegoat?
