Think Again: The still lethal obsession

A Lethal Obsession stands as a refutation of three widespread misconceptions fostered in the West, partly out of ignorance and partly out of fear. The first is that radical Islam is a relatively minor phenomenon in the Muslim world.
...
Virulent anti-Semitism, Wistrich quotes the dean of Middle East scholars Bernard Lewis, “is an essential part of Arab intellectual life.” The Protocols of the Elders of Zion has been reprinted in countless editions in almost every Muslim country. It climbed to No. 2 on the Turkish best-seller lists in 2005, at a time when Turkey was still a strategic ally of Israel. Egypt, a nation nominally at peace with Israel, recently broadcast a 24-part TV dramatization of The Protocols.
...
From the outset of Oslo, as Wistrich documents in copious detail, the PA media has been permeated with the most naked religious and racial hatred of Jews. Sermons urging believers to “have no mercy on the Jews, no matter where they are, in any country. Fight them. Whenever you meet them, kill them,” are broadcast live on the PA’s official TV channel. When Jews are discussed in PA textbooks, it is only to recite the same litany of their immutable, negative traits from the days of the prophet to the present. Zionism is only a modern expression of their essential evil. And finally, suicide bombers are endlessly glorified in the official Palestinian media as holy martyrs, with sports tournaments, streets and town squares named in their honor.
...
Former president Mohamad Khatami, the “liberal” reformer, spoke of Israel as “an old wound in the body of Islam that cannot be healed.” And President Mahmoud Ahamadinejad’s “moderate” rival, former president Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani, mused in a public sermon at Teheran University that “one atomic bomb would wipe out Israel.” Long-range missiles are paraded in Teheran bedecked in signs proclaiming, “Israel must be wiped off the face of the earth.”

These are the moderate supported by tspam, zair, erdman, yankeeuxb... At least people that they don't find useful to criticize.

Double standards are a sure sign of antisemitism.

I would like to see an end to watchful iris insufferable posting exclusively attacking Jews. It seems to give her life some meaning.

Jose, your command of the English language has improved immensely since you started posting regularly after Posner got banned. Bravo!

You should see my French and my Spanish, then! No need for innuendo: that will be counted as suggesting I might be another person, while the moderators can easily see from where I am posting and from where Posner was posting. Every way, you loose.

Your need to read the obvious never ceases to amaze me.

Because you cannot read. I do not wish the antisemites denounce antisemitism from Iran, N. Korea and all: there are much worse things happening there. It is those things that should be the primary target of any decent human being. And there are enough targets to prevent the antisemites to ever criticize a democratic country again in the course of their lives.

You're not Jewish.

Please state who you are defaming exactly (me, amber,...), and in what respect the fact of being Jewish or not has a bearing on the truth of an argument.

Otherwise, get lost.

"so that Jose can move on, and he can stop with the insufferable posting of his "it's not fair" whining"

Have you ever suffered from antisemitism?

No?

Then eff off, pisher.

Personnally, I never suffered from antisemitism: I have only been the target of antisemitism, mostly by those 'Palestinian' supporters who pretend to be anti-'Zionists'.

But as Cyrano said to De Guiche: "On n'abdique pas l'honneur d'être une cible."

I let Watchful find out what that means. Hint: it is French language.

Quite right watchful iris - which makes your own obsession with attacking Jews even more odious.

OK, target rather than suffering ...

But very close family members of mine have suffered from it very seriously indeed.

Certainly the same for all European Jews in the world.
