THE ONE STATE SOLUTION

In the Independent today I had a letter published

Land of brothers

The events in the sea off the coast of Gaza highlight the need for a permanent solution in the region. Surely the foundation of a single state for Israelis and Palestinians living together in harmony has to be now considered.

On a recent visit to Ramallah, Hebron and Bethlehem I made no secret of my Jewishness. I referred to Palestinians I met as my cousins; they replied, "No, you are my brother."

Once again tomesiner2 you are living in an "Alice In Wonderland" parralel world.
The Ones State Solution is:-
1- The State Of Israel as it is.
2-Gaza will be returned to Egyptian control and demilitarized. The border between Gaza and Israel to be re-inforced and secured.
3-Arabs living in Judea & Samaria / aka "The West Bank" to be affilaited with Jordan and demilitarized, the border to be re-inforced and secured.
The State Of Israel will retain all border controls, air sea and land.
Israel NO longer to be responsible for:-
Electricity, water, sewage, aid.
Arabs to look after Arabs.
Abu Dhabi, Dubai, UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia to contribute.
That's it, no need for long complicated explanations.

So what happens to the 500,00 settlers then, do they live under Jordanian rule, how do you work the logistics of your plan?

As you well know, in calling for a so-called one state, you are also calling for the destruction of the Jewish State and the possible deaths of millions of Jews. There never has been one occasion when Jews were treated as equals, or anything like equals, in a Muslim nation (and that's exactly what it would be). If Muslims or "Christian" gentiles could be trusted with Jewish lives, there would have never been a need for an Israel in the first place. Virtually all Jewish Israelis are also completely opposed to such a move. In terms of the descendants of those who originally lived in Arab countries and were subsequently ethnically cleansed, "one state" would quite understandably be their very worst nightmare. You are only attempting to impose on Jews what has failed over and over again in Europe.

Given your "anti-Zionism" I am not surprised they call
you "brother". But you are certainly not my brother or the brother of the vast majority of Jews who believe in the Jewish state. Indeed, I see you as a dangerous enemy. And I imagine that is exactly the line the Israeli authorities will take the very next time you land in Israel. Try it and see.

Will you stop this childish business with the capitals. You know very well that it is considered shouting. You only betray your bad manners and worse upbringing when you do this.

So according to you Jews are more important than Palestinians aren't they?

1) It takes two to tango. If one person refuses to for whatever reason then the dance is impossible. You will also find that according to a recent poll only 34% of Palestinians are in favour of a binational state. You people can't even make the EU work. A binational state would be a total non-starter.

2) Because you don't give a person what he wants, no matter how outrageous the demand, that doesn't mean you believe him to be an inferior.

3) I am not prepared to see the Jewish people commit suicide simply in order to appease the anti-Zionists of the world.

4) This notion that I/the Jews consider themselves superior to everyone else is all part and parcel of your anti-Semitic worldview. It goes together with all your other anti-Semitic statements, that Israelis are Nazis, and so forth.

5) The reality is that you consider Jews to be inferior to everyone else. In this, you are in fact very similar to the people who murdered your relatives. I have no idea this is because you are sick or evil, and, to be honest, it doesn't concern me. That you are an enemy is enough.

Tom,
Why are you using capitals for your headlines? Do you think that somehow it validates your argument?

eisner, you are a self hater. And you STILL haven't condemned Hamas for its racism, nor the IHH, nor the "activists" who shouted antisemitic slogans.

If you consult The Merck Manual of Diagnosis and Therapy and look up bugupbutt, a condition with an unusually high level of chronicity, you will find that this is listed as one of the symptoms.

I read in a Freudian text that an obsession with capitals is indicative of an inferiority complex. It also can reveal a member that is not quite up to scratch. I know that some readers may think that this is far-fetched, but there have been case studies in America which confirm this frightening truth.

Do you really think, Tom Meisner, that the Islamicists who call for the land to be free from the river to the sea would allow the Jews to live, in peace or otherwise?

Yvetta,

Don't be so naive. You've read the Hamas Charter. Of course, they would.

Ahmadinejad has also said that he wants to get a job in Tel Aviv looking after Israelis who survived the holocaust. It's true. You just have to check out his website.

All this stuff about anyone not liking Israel is nonsense. And you should be ashamed of yourself for even thinking about it. In fact, you should be banned.

jonathon Hoffman - dont you dare use the word traitor. Its people like you who support literally anything the lunatic state does, who are betraying the ideals of Israels founding fathers. My god Moshe Dyan, and Golda Mayer must be turning in their graves.

People like you, joshua18, jon i Cohen, Akiva, by refusing to take a moral stand against obviuos inhumanity, are helping to bring about the destruction of the country you claim to defend - what will be worth defending in Israel once the through the cancer of occupation and militarism, it has completed its moral descent?

What about the so-called settlers in Judea/Samaria, Tom Eisner? Do you have a special interest in having this place Judenfrei?
By this implicit admission, the supporters of 'palestinians' show their true face: that of ethnic cleanser at worse, apartheid-supporters at best.

Eisner's visits to Israel should be very short and be complete in 10 hours: five hours to go and five hours to return.

There is one very good reason why this won't be the case, but I won't tell you why.
