Would that all those who insist on misrepresenting the Iranian threat might try reading Shlomo Ben Ami's article:

A voice of reason in the midst of insanity.

"The voice of reason" would be for the world to wake up to the reality - that is the moment the Iranians have a workable nuclear bomb they will use it.
The Iranian have the plans for a neutron initiator, the device to trigger a weapon, this has been described as the "smoking gun" proving Iran's nuclear program and that it is intent on building a bomb. There is solid evidence to back this up. Once again the world is walking into a period of procrastination and denial.
It would be a big mistake for the US to rule out a last-resort military option – whether it is bombing Iran’s nuclear sites or blockading the Hormuz Straits, or providing arms and aid to the country’s anti-regime groups, as in the old days of the CIA.
As for Israel, whilst urging the US and the West to hold to a credible military option, Israel should do nothing to calm fears that an IAF attack is a real possibility. There will be Israeli losses, and the planners will have calculated that in, however it will be the only hope of stopping Ahmadinejad’s avowed aim of the destuction of The State of Israel.
We need to stop burying our heads in the sand and face up to this reality.

Well said, Jon.
Hitherto, we have had the Balance of Terror between essentially rational powers.
If rumours that Ahmadinejad believes in "The Twelfth Imam" - whose coming is traditionally believed to be preluded by mayhem and destruction - are true, then we (or rather Obama and Co.) need to wake up before Armageddon strikes. Many people say that the Iranian President would never unleash a nuclear attack on Israel because it would result in the loss of Muslim lives as well as Jewish ones. But given his apparent irrationality Ahmadinejad might well consider the loss of such lives worth it in order to herald the imam's coming. Frightening stuff!!!

I found this article so convincing that I have asked Mahmoud Ahmadinejad round for tea.

JIC & Evetta.

You both seem to buy into the fear & terror story (which has since caused many wars, rendition, gitmo etc...).
Let's put this in perspective the only country that has ever used a neuclear bomb is the USA...
For everyone else it's a detterant to stop hostile countries invading them, and during cold war proved to be effective.
America has proved throughout it's short history to interfere with other countries soverignty - is it any wonder people want to safeguard from their consistant and unrepentent action?

It is now obvious that Iran is badly wanting to get an atomic bomb and time is running out to prevent this outcome. Let's face it: mild economic sanctions will not suffice. Major economic sanctions and total blockade of Iran would perhaps be enough, but barely possible.
So, except by going to war, there is no sure way to stop the puppet Ahmandinejad and his demented masters.

So, what is John Golds answer? Let the mad mullahs get the bomb?
Sorry John that is not going to happen.
