The 'Tri for Life' SuperSprint distance Triathlon is being held at the Dorney Lake Rowing Centre which will be the 2012 Olympic Rowing venue. This superb facility, with its closed roads, provides the ideal, safe environment for multisport racing.

The 'Tri for Life' triathlon can be entered as an individual or as a team of three people. The event is open to any athlete and is ideal for novices.

The SuperSprint is a 400m, 1 lap swim; a 20km, 4 lap bike ride; and a 5km, 2 lap run.

For the individual race, prizes will be awarded to the first three in each wave or category.

The Relay races are over the same distances. A team is three people where one person does a leg of either the swim, the bike ride or the run.

Prizes go to juniors and adults, 1st three male teams and first three female teams (Mixed teams are classed as male) All competitors will receive a commemorative medal for finishing.

All entrants will be expected to raise a minimum amount by way of sponsorship. All funds will go to the combined charities. Minimum sponsorship targets are:

Individual - Juniors (under 18) - £250, Adults & Seniors (over 60) - £500

Relay teams - Juniors (under 18) - £750, Adults & Seniors (over 60) - £1,500 Corporate - £2,000

Proceeds will be split between WJR, Rays of Sunshine, Great Ormond Street Hospital, ERC, Teenage Cancer Trust and Staying-Alive Foundation
