Stay Away from Gordon Brown's Chanuka Candle Lighting on Wednesday...

I urge those invited to Gordon Brown's Chanuka Candle Lighting ceremony on Wednesday to stay away.

This is the government that has said Israel's action was "wrong and counterproductive";

Whose foreign secretary agreed that Israel's action was "disproportionate";

Which gave £35,000 to Breaking the Silence - a group of dissident IDF veterans;

Which began a partial arms embargo on Israel, on the grounds that the Israeli ships for which the parts were destined were supposedly engaged in acts of "internal repression";

That has a Cabinet Minister Ben Bradshaw who said (Any Questions? (January 23)): "I am afraid the BBC has to stand up to the Israeli authorities occasionally... Israel has a long reputation of bullying the BBC..." ;

Whose leader Gordon Brown personally initiated the March 31 meeting to ask supermarkets to label goods from West Bank settlements, now enshrined in DEFRA's statement on Friday;

Which supported the original Swedish EU Resolution to divide Jerusalem.

This is the most anti-Israel UK government for many years.

If you are invited please stay away, tell the Prime Minister why - and go public here.

A call for a boycott, just like the anti-Israel mob do.

Yes, that turn of events is most disturbing, with Tzippi Livni the latest casualty. Methinks there might have to be a test case soon; the bastardos are being allowed to win by default in this so-called free society.

JP says she pulled out some time ago. But tends to confirm that an arrest warrant was issued.

Why has Gordon Brown done nothing to stop this?

Don't get so hot under the collar over this. It's the same law that saw Pinochet arrested. Was that anti-Israel, too? And it's the same throughout Europe. It says a lot for Israel's diplomacy that it hasn't managed to get it overturned. It also says a lot about the hasbaraniks in this country that they haven't manage to get their MPs to take a stand on this.
Maybe it's because they (the hasbaraniks, that is) have managed to put everyone -- including a majority in the community, too -- off through their incessant branding of everything they don't like as antisemitic that no one pays any attention when something is really wrong.

Or perhaps, Iain, it says alot for European governments' perceptions that they have to appease their burgeoning Muslim constituencies by selling the little Jewish State down the river.

Evidently, the books by Shepherd and by Caldwell are guaranteed to drown a festive spirit.

Now it's unclear if there was an arrest warrant...
