I am sure that US assistance will be conditional on moves to democracy 3. Jonathan, it looks exactly like the conditions that brought HAMAS to power in Gaza. This is based on the assumption that democracy can arise ex nihilo.
The choice between the anti-Israel dictature of Mubarak and the Nazi dictature of Muslim Brotherhood is not ours, the West, to make.
Let's rather prepare for what is coming and let the Egyptians free to do whatever they wish. Let's withdraw all US and EU aid to Egypt as soon as the new dictature will arise.
