there are many brands of idolatry

so how come you suddenly think " christians " are so freaking wonderful ?

this reminds me of the time I was entrusted with the care of impressionable young minds in west cork

I said to these kids do you think i just sailed up the Lea on a banana boat ?

They said yesh

I said right I want 1000 words on " could an omnisciant god create a round square" on my desk by monday morning.

this kid said sir, god cant be impotent cuz he banged mary up

i said make that 1500 words

Av let me ask you this. what came first language or religion ? Or...is religion possible without language ?

And isent it the observances that are the comfort and the cultural anchor ?

And isent that wherein the Jewish genius lies ? ( or lay ) In understanding that believing is a temporal activity that is for the most part just a waste of good drinking time ?

Av your obsession with who belongs where is really very illuminating

Life for you is a game of chess make sure the pieces are exactly where they belong did you ever have a spontaneous joyous moment in your entire life ?

Avraham, what do you expect from a man who has frequently used antisemitic language in his posts? He has, in the past, said that the Jews need someone to go into the Temple again and "turn over a few tables" - i.e. the Jews need Jesus. He has made reference to Jews and money, and that Jews encourage stereotypes about themselves.

He deliberately Jew baits with moronic and insensitive examples of his "thoughts" (in this case about Judaism itself) as posted above. The phrase "you guys" (he has said "you people" before) is most telling.

You're right, he doesn't belong here. He belongs on Stormfront.

I have flagged stephenb as an antisemite several times.
The JC obviously prefers to keep him here despite the offence he gives to Jews and the damage tolerance for his antisemitic and inanane remarks does to the JC's reputation.
But I suppose the JC website prefers "b*ms on seats" or rather "b*ms on blogs" to good taste.

Yvetta, it is disgusting that the JC allows stephenb to remain. If this blog isn't offensive to Jews, what is? Why do they hesitate?

Amber, and Yvetta, think about this: Stephenb gets away with anti-semitism because Stephenb isn't what he claims to be. He's some sort of glove puppet of a regular who tries -- and obviously succeeds -- in getting you angry and all steamed up about anti-semitism. That's how he gets away with it.

sam tell me you dont really believe that

And far from being anti semitic I am in fact the very contrary. Point me to one single word from me that has been anti semitic. Not you yvetta , or you Amber, I asked Sam

And " you guys " or " you people " is in refernce to JC bloggers. I merely am of the opinion that the idolotrous worship the state of Israel is detrimental to the jewish spirit. Millions of jews agree with me. As did Albert Einstein

stephenb, Einstein supported the establishment of the Jewish state. And as for speaking for "millions of Jews", on what do you base your figures (I suppose they also agree with you completely because you've taken a poll?) - bearing in mind there are only 13 million Jews on this planet?

That statement, just alone, shows what a complete imbecile you are.

You come onto the JC bogs, insult Judaism, and make antisemitic comments about Jews as a totality.

JC, why is this man here?

Oh, I've flagged them often enough for them to have seen them, Amber. They even zapped one or two ... or even three. Perhaps four. But a third strike you'e out policy obviously doesn't apply - at least not to him. Very strange.

It doesn't apply Yvetta, coz he's a glovepuppet.

stephenb, selective quotes of Einstein are just silly. Do some research, and you will find Einstein also supported Israel and its establishment as a Jewish nation. Never heard of Rivka Mitchell - so who cares? Is she a great mind? Why don't you quote some family members as well?

There is the recent poll for the Institute of Jewish Policy Research, which shows overwhelming support for Israel. Speaking for "millions of Jews" is simply a moronic and ignorant comment - no doubt motivated by your Jew haterd. That you are allowed to continue to spout your hatred here is a farce.

Amber, I wouldn't go down the route of quoting from the JPR survey. It was self-selecting (by people who really wanted to make a point) and easily rigged. I wouldn't be at all surprised if people voted/polled more than once -- and from what I could see it was pretty easy to do so -- rotating proxies, clearing cookies, using alternate proxies and PCs/Macs. I'd like to see the results of a properly conducted survey before making any rash pronouncements on outcomes.
