They must feel pretty sure that they would win! The simple fact that they suggest it is enough to prove that the majority of 'Palestinians' is pro-war and doesn't want to make peace with Israel. At best, they believe the natality bomb will transform Israel into another Lebanon, with the same terrible fate.

"Negotiations between Abbas and Israel have since faltered over Israel's refusal to halt settlement building in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem."

What utter crap.

Negotiations failed because Abbas walked away from them because his demands were not being met.

Jose, many thanks For posting this to remind us of the commonalities between Hamas and its equally evil anti-peace twin on the Israeli far right which also wants a referendum. Neither government appears to want to take tough decisions.

Hamas and its equally evil anti-peace twin on the Israeli far right

Anyone with a brain knows that there is a majority in Israel in favour of peace. The far right in Israel did not support the referendum (which was not a referendum about peace, btw).
So you made two 'mistakes'. Bias and prejudice are bad friends for the observer. And applying double standards is a sure sign of antisemitism.
