'Palestinian' gets 10 years for selling land to Israeli

He was convicted by a Palestinian magistrates court in Nablus of selling land to the “enemy” in 1981 – in violation of Article 114 of a law dating back to 1960.

He was pretty lucky because the new law is not retroactive. He could have gotten a life sentence or even a death sentence...

“Those who violate the law will receive the maximum penalty.”

Then why speak of a "maximum penalty", since it will also be the minimum one?

It is also interesting to see that these laws that were enacted in 1960 did not get corrected with Oslo Accords.
Since Arafat pretended that the PLO Charter violent articles were supposedly revoked, one could also suppose every violent law should also have been revoked. Well not only this was not the case, but they replaced it with an even stricter law, carrying death penalty to anyone who would sell land to an Israeli.

An idiot on these blogs once pretended that when Abbas spoke of not having any Israeli on 'Palestinian' land, he was only speaking about military presence...
We see clearly that he was speaking of a Judenrein state.

Of course, 50% bad landlords being Jewish is quite normal if 50% of landlords in the area concerned are Jewish.
And if Jewish landlords are 80%, then it is rather good if there are only 50% among the top worse.

That is (part of) the analysis that wasn't made by the author. So her conclusions are stupid. But I doubt that she did that out of antisemitism. Rather ignorance of maths, which is probably not a problem for writing in the Village Voice.
