As a Liverpool fan I don't want to rub salt into the wounds but spare a thought for Spurs fans who recently had Keane printed on the back of new home shirts.
I'm not sure if the Irish striker will go down as a legend in the club's folklore but his departure is certainly a blow to everyone connected to White Hart Lane.
Keane had a great rapport with Lilywhites fans and will be sorely missed. But what do supporters who had his name printed on their tops do? Robbie is now a red and chairman Daniel Levy is somewhat miffed with the reds of Liverpool and Manchester but the die-hard fans have been left red-faced as there is no longer a Keane down the Lane... that is unless they bring Roy out of retirement!

Is he that guy that the Kop sing about thus...
"He's Fat, he's red, he talks like Father Ted. Robbie Keane, Robbie Keane."
