NY Times

No one is really surprised that further evidence indicates that Israel is intransigent and belligerent and prefers occupation and war to justice and peace. Supporters of Palestinian rights in Israel and elsewhere have being saying this for decades amidst a cacophony of shouts of 'anti Semitism'.

This in the NY Times:

‘The new details come as the United States is facing unusual pressure from its Arab and European allies, and even from some former top American officials, not to veto a draft Security Council resolution reaffirming the longstanding international view that Israeli settlements on occupied territory are illegal.

Habitually, Security Council members avoid proposing any resolution that might be seen as critical of Israel because the United States vetoes them, almost automatically. But the new resolution reflects widespread frustration that even though President Obama said in a United Nations speech last September that Israel should freeze settlement expansion and that a Palestinian state was achievable within a year; no tangible progress has been made.

Supporters recognize that the resolution, which would most likely win votes from the 14 other members of the council, puts Mr. Obama in the potentially embarrassing position of having to veto a resolution that reflects his position’.--The New York Times, today

This is where blind support for Israel--a country that spies on the US, steals its secrets, embarrasses its politicians (remember that poor cluck Joe Biden?) and ignores its requests and wishes--has left the US looking like fools.

He-he, the leaks showed that the 'Palestinians' (in fact, there is no such people as 'Palestinians' as they were and are a mix of Arabs colons coming from what is now neighbouring states) are so opposed to any concession that their leaders deny having made them, in fear that the people oust them for making it.

'Palestinians' elected their Nazi leaders, the HAMAS so as to be sure there will not be any concession.

“We are living in a bad situation, as you see in this camp, hoping that we will go back to our homes one day,” said Mossa, a 65-year-old living in the Balata refugee camp in Nablus, in the West Bank. “No one has the right to take this hope from me. Millions like me in the Arab world share the same hope. If that's true, negotiators have to be punished.”

As you can see, 'Palestinians' think that any concession is wrong. How can one expect them to make peace, in this way?

There is a good reason for which they elected their Nazi leaders, the HAMAS: to oppose any peace process. And they were very effective.
