No, it's not just Israel

So the Chinese premier's three-day visit to London has been disrupted by pro-Tibet rallies, demonstrators, and even a shoe-thrower.

Take note, those who gripe that do-gooders protest against Israeli human rights abuses but not those of China, Sudan, or Zimbabwe.

Seems that, actually, they do.

Oh come on. Surely you don't really believe what you are writing?

Because one person throws a shoe, that means that the obscene silence over every other conflict in the world (and a myopic focus on Israel), by those who claim to be concerned for universal human rights, is a figment of our imagination?

I enjoy reading your columns, but this glib comment does you a disservice.
