You really don't like this guy, do you? Is it because he showed up the JC with his irresponsible and nonsensical claim that someone shouted idbach -al-yahud at him?

Well both you and Ha'aretz ignore the fact that Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) is J-Street’s partner in sponsoring the visit of this US Congressional delegation to Israel.

CMEP contains elements that bashing Israel, including by pushing for a boycott. For example, Friends of Sabeel North America (www.fosna.org) is a fundraising and publicity branch of the Palestinian NGO Sabeel. This organisation, headed by Naim Ateek, is a leader of the church divestment campaign, and in his speaking tours around North America, Ateek employs antisemitic themes and imagery in sermons promoting his “Palestinian Liberation Theology.” In promoting this agenda, his rhetoric includes references to “the Israeli government crucifixion system”.

CMEP’s website also features the “KAIROS Palestine Document”, which was written by a group of Palestinian Christians, including Ateek. KAIROS Palestine calls for action designed to create “a system of economic sanctions and boycott [and divestment] to be applied against Israel,” echoing Sabeel’s efforts. CMEP also quotes Bishop Mark Hanson of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, referring to the document as “a word of hope in a time of pessimism that could lead to despair.”

Helena Cobban is on CMEP's Leadership Council. She is fiercely anti-Israel ideologue and a member of Human Rights Watch’s Middle East board.

Quite apart from J-Street's own ambivalence on Israel.

Citing the Israeli Foreign Ministry-sponsored NGO Watch is hardly helpful. How, Jonathan, can you lead a Zionist organisation when you attack fellow Zionists? I wonder what your real agenda is.

Here is the definitive story. J-Street lied. No surprise there.

Good for you, Jonathan. Attacking fellow Zionists will only hasten your departure from the ZF. I suggest you read this, Israel can't afford to reject J Street by Yehuda Ben Meir (a former National Religious Party Knesset Member), for a more balanced view.

A sober, responsible government would do everything possible to embrace each and every group belonging to that large community - not estrange them.

Unfortunately, Israel does not have a "sober, responsible" government, but a fascist, fundamentalist one with Ehud Barak as a fig-leaf.
Did Mr Ayalon send the Jerusalem Post link for you to distribute? A definitive story in the Jerusalem Post, noch? Now there's something novel.
