Mick Davis is wrong about Bibi

Quoted in tomorrow's JC, Davis (chairman of UJIA and of the executive of the JLC) says "I object to the fact that Netanyahu hasn't got the courage to take the steps that he would like to take."

Bibi has proved to be a terrific Prime Minister and he enjoys great popular support. He has kept his coalition together despite agreeing the settlement freeze which upset the Right. In his Bar Ilan speech he confirmed that his government would move towards granting the Palestinians a state. Israel's security is his primary concern and nothing will deflect him from maintaining it.

Davis is simply wrong.

Mick Davis is absolutely right. As is Harvey Rose. It's about time the leadership started leading instead of following the thugs.

Since your defeat at the hands of Harvey Rose-by way of Pro-Zion-you are the insignificant one. Why don't you go over to the JNF? It's the home of the loud-mouthed Herutnik after all. Better still, why not go to Israel?

The "two-State solution" is a recipe for creation of a second terrorist state after Gaza.

Wasn't Ireland and the IRA enough for you?

It's not a question of courage but of brains. Bibi would be plain stupid to fall into the American trap. He's promised planes that won't arrive for years; UN support that is removable as fast as Obama crumpled up the Bush commitments; raising the extended period from 60 to 90 days with a month; not committing to this being the last freeze request/demand; - all this besides the security dangers ahead with unrepentant Arabs.

Anyone who thinks Jonathan is "insignificant" clearly does not understand the meaning of the world.
He has shaken up the pro Israel lobby more than anyone else, and although you may not always agree with his tactics you cannot argue with his sincerity, dedication and motivation
I have never advocated that we do not have the right to offer constructive criticism of Israel, and indeed we have a useful role to play as critical friends, but as Zionist leaders we should not do it a way that will be lapped up and used by our enemies

You are absolutely right, and the best way to be critical friends of Israel is to criticize the Muslim countries that attack it and much worth criticizing than the poor Israel.

Can you imagine what people around the world could say if:
- Israel prevented the building of mosques and churches?
- Sentenced to death homosexuals?
- Stoned to death women convicted of adultery after mock trials?
- Lynched citizens who collaborate with belligerant states?
- Silenced domestic and foreign reporters?
- Sentenced to death those who sell land to Muslims?
- Taught politicals opponents how to fly from the 5th floor (and with very bad teachers!)?
- Used other countries taxpayers' money to print school textbooks full of racism and hate?

I suggest to start criticizing Israel when all this will be solved in all Muslim countries. Until then Israel will have my full support against its racist enemies.
