Maximum insanity and intransigence

Nabil Sha’ath, another member of the PA negotiating team, said that the Palestinians would accept nothing less than an independent state on the 1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital, and the “right of return” for refugees.

Note that it is only the minimum the 'Palestinian' 'negotiators will accept.

By the way, what could be the maximum? "From the Jordan to the sea"? And if the maximum is equal to the minimum, what is there left to negotiate anyway?

an independent state on the 1967 borders

What are the 1967 borders Jose?

Apparently Milton Keynes was built in 1967, so perhaps they would like to establish their state there?

It's very instructive that some Jew-hating idiots go around awarding minus points to factual posts.

Indeed Yoni, and one presumes that whoever did so also approves of the persecution of Christians in Iraq, since they took the trouble to log in, mark down posts condemning it, and did not post a condemnation themselves.

And I'm afraid I won't be commenting on posts by people who hide behind pseudonyms to deliver their unsubstantiated bile.
In fact, I think it is best to ignore people too cowardly to post under their full names or under a pseudonym. You just don't know what lurks behind such cowardice.

I'd like to talk more about "Milton Keynes is Palestine".

A quick history of the region shows that prior to 1967 the "indigenous population" (was there ever such a racist term?) lived in rural settlements. Then the "occupiers" turned up and started building roads and schools and stuff, a classical colonialist ploy to uproot the natives and cut them off from the land they need to survive.

Yes, Milton Keynes is Palestine! Back to the 1967 borders with you, UK and Zionist occupiers!

Joe Millis is funny. He also gives points to his own posts, which makes them twice as funny!

Yes, Matt, I don't mark any post. It's a futile exercise where anyone can get his or her mates to mark. That the marking is never higher than 3 or lower than -3 shows how few people post here, which is a shame in itself.
And id Milton Keynes is Palestine, then St Albans is Verulamian.

All this casting aspersions on marking reminds me of a mid-1980s Galei Tsahal programme fronted by Avri Gilad and Erez Tal. It had a character called Hashem Tameed, an Arab waiter played by Yair Nitzani. Hashem Tameed for all you non-Hebrew-speakers is a play on words meaning Always Guilty.
Someone here is always guilty of something. Can't we have a rational debate, between people using their own full names, instead of the same-old, same-old?

And observe how Joe Millis doesn't know the difference between real name and pseudo. Or, since the three other contributors of that blog use their real names as a login, he must be the one that uses a pseudo!

All this casting aspersions

If you don't like what you are doing, just stop. I remind you that you are here on a Jewish newspaper website and that you are likely to find people who disagree with your anti-Zionist views. If you don't like the heat, don't play with fire!

No, we now have a good sample of your anti-Zionist views.
When did you criticise HAMAS, Hezbollah, PA? Only Israel deserves your contempt.

Ah, Millis! Can you figure out how damaging to your reputation as a journalist is that "Posner-mania"?
Not being able to see the plain truth when it is right under your nose is a sure sign of stupidity.
And complex conflicts hate stupids.

I guess Millis doesn't make a difference between "HaShem" (with "ה") and "Ashem" (with "א").
One of the many things he confuses!

For the 'Palestinians' it seems to be code words for "1949 Green Line". For me and for any other with a brain, there are no 1967 borders, except for the liberation and subsequent unfication of Jerusalem.
