Let's play paint ball

In the latest litany of bullshit issued by the Israeli government Captain Aria Shaliker has this to say:

‘I myself was on one of the boats that approached the terrorist’s convoy. We were armed only with paint ball guns. It was our intention to challenge to convoy to a game of paint ball but the terrorists decided to ambush our helicopters, gunships and masked soldiers when all we wanted was to play paint ball. They were highly trained individuals armed with kitchen knives and deck chairs. We stood no chance. So we killed them instead’

Asked why the IDF hadn’t challenged the convoy to a game of paintball during day light hours, Shaliker continued ‘because we had filled our paint ball guns with a special fluorescent paint, pink, yellow and green; we thought it would be much more fun and pretty at night’.

Footage from terror TV channel Al Jazeera shows unarmed passengers lying in pools of blood whilst gunshots could clearly be heard in the background. There were no signs in any of the footage of paint ball stains.

Reports, issued by the IDF, claim that the ship was laden with weapons and munitions bound for the arch terror group Hamas. When journalists asked if they could inspect the cargo they were told that under ‘national security’ guidelines no access could be granted to the weapons haul. Neither could any photos be released for security reason.

Captain Aria Shaliker continued ‘it was only ever our intention to engage in a peaceful game of paint ball and we regret the loss of human life, blah, blah, blah . . . . . ‘
At this point most journalists had stopped listening.

Oh Max, your blogs have all the charm and wit of a pebble. Tis a shame you are so misinformed. As pictures and evidence of the weapons cache onboard have already been provided. The paintball guns were used, as per video evidence by the IDF when the soldiers were lynched. Once one of the terrorists, sorry humanitarian aidists, stole one of the personal handguns of the soldiers and attacked them with knives, self-defence demanded they take action.

Alas, I fear this will not be the last demonstration of your stupidity on this website, as you clearly have little to do between classes it seems.

Ohmygod - I have just seen the cache of weapons on an Israeli website that the ship was 'laden with'

I am shocked. The video shot by the IDF took about 20 seconds to watch there were so many weapons. Some pictures they even showed twice just to confirm the horror of it.

There were about 20 knives, some looked like kitchen knives, no doubt found in the kitchen. Two children's catapaults - very dangerous WMDs those and some wrenches and spanners. Ha, ha, ha. These dastardly terrorists are so dastardly. Hamas could have taken over the whole of the Middle East with that cache of deadly weapons.

Yeh, I saw it too. Did you see who neatly they laid out their knives on top of a Hamas flag? These terrorists are such a tidy bunch, damn them.

But you missed the biggy - washing up powder and a Palestinian scarf - when combined with readily available water they are going to create a serious slipping hazard for those nice Israeli commandos swinging down from their cute helicopter with their paintball guns.

The Israeli army has all but admitted that the activists did not have guns of their own before the raid. Army spokeswoman Avital Leibovich said two pistols were seized from activists but these had been taken from the troops raiding the boat. She claimed the magazines of both weapons had been emptied before they were seized back.

Speaking to al Jazeera she insisted that the force used by the troops was proportionate. "Any metal bar pointing at someone's head can kill," she said.

Asked to list weapons on board she said there were knives, scissors, night vision binoculars, many metal bars and sharp objects. She claimed they had been prepared in advance and added that throwing soldiers off the boat was not the actions of a humanitarian organisation.

I like the last bit best: She claimed they had been prepared in advance and added that throwing soldiers off the boat was not the actions of a humanitarian organisation.

So what do you call shooting dead unarmed civilians?

Among the items found on the Turkish vessel, were bulletproof vests, military-grade night vision equipment, a rifle scope, an assortment of knives, electric saws, metal rods and clubs.

Sounds very much like humanitarian aid, doesn't it? Maybe they use those night-vision goggles to eat meat at night and the electric chainsaws come in handy for a particularly tough piece? Regardless, they were used for violence.

Oh and here's more interesting footage, looks like the humanitarian aidists had STUN GRENADES. How about that, those come in handy in Tesco. Note also the guns being FIRED AT THE IDF.

Reality check

bulletproof vests - life vests (can stop bullets if wet)
military-grade night vision equipment - binoculars
a rifle scope - no rifle?
an assortment of knives - everyone on a ship carries a utility knife and I am sure the ship has a kitchen
electric saws - this ones got me - used for building stuff in Gaza maybe?
metal rods and clubs - pipes and sticks

O yeh, I saw the footage - those commandos really must have feel threatened by all that water falling on their heads and soaking all the paint in their guns.

"bulletproof vests - life vests (can stop bullets if wet)"

These were found with the weaponry. I suppose they were figured Gazan fishermen could substitute army-surplus bullet-proof vests for life vests?

"military-grade night vision equipment - binoculars

Try using a pair of binoculars at night. Perhaps then you'll realise the stupidity of what you just said.

"a rifle scope - no rifle?"

Was it humanitarian aid?

"an assortment of knives - everyone on a ship carries a utility knife and I am sure the ship has a kitchen"

Cause you never know when a brother's got to eat whale, am I right? Seriously, those are NOT kitchen utensils.

"electric saws - this ones got me - used for building stuff in Gaza maybe?"

Yeah. Or terror.

"metal rods and clubs - pipes and sticks"

...used for terror.

"O yeh, I saw the footage - those commandos really must have feel threatened by all that water falling on their heads and soaking all the paint in their guns."

Or maybe it was the lynchings.

Ha, ha, ha . . . good try 'the weoponary'.

What weapons? what bloody weapons?

Are these the best pictures the criminal IDF can come up with (three days after the event interestingly)

It's a shame the criminal IDF haven't shown pictures of the ten thousand tonnes of children's toys, books, paper, pens, crayons, medical equipment, medecines and cement the boats were carrying. One, the Rachel Corrie, is in Cyprus at the moment.

But that would distort Israel's criminal spin that this was a ship full of terrorists and weapons. What bloody weapons?

weap·on (wpn)
n.
1. An instrument of attack or defense in combat

"It's a shame the criminal IDF haven't shown pictures of the ten thousand tonnes of children's toys, books, paper, pens, crayons, medical equipment, medecines and cement the boats were carrying. One, the Rachel Corrie, is in Cyprus at the moment."

Those things that could have been delivered (and HAVE been delivered) via the proper channels?

"But that would distort Israel's criminal spin that this was a ship full of terrorists and weapons. What bloody weapons? "

Noone denies the boat had aid. Noone cares either. If they wanted to deliver aid they could have, but by their own admission they wanted to break the seige. Regardless, they USED the weapons to injure 9 soldiers, 2 of which are severely wounded.

You can dance around the point till the cows come home, but it doesn't change the facts:

1. Video evidence shows the soldiers were lynched. They

2. Video evidence now also shows the soldiers did not fire untill AFTER the militants on-board stole two of their weapons and shot.

3. If the militants had wanted to deliver aid, they could have done so.

4. The flotilla was sailing ILLEGALLY as it had been banned from Cyprus and was attempting to breach a SOVREIGN NATION.

5. It was carrying weaponry, which was used.

6. A moot point, but I noticed on the news last night that those on board are seen in their own home videos singing such love-able songs as "Kill the Jews".

Of course it's always the same spin - heavily armed soldiers are attacked by civilains and therefore have no choice but to shoot them dead.

Why did they attack the boats at night, in the dark if the aim was to 'escort' the ship into port?

Why did they jam the telecommunications systems on the ship?

Why are ten (?) people dead?

Why don't we know the nationality of the dead?

What are the 'proper channels'?

You should read what John Ging has to say about the 'proper channels' and the situation in Gaza.

Why are you so satisfied that 1.5 million people are trapped in a huge ghetto? Why dos that give you pleasure?

What spin? There's video evidence.

"Why did they attack the boats at night, in the dark if the aim was to 'escort' the ship into port?"

Why didn't they attack the other four ships, or better yet sink them all, if their aim was destruction? Why did they spend two hours telling them to turn around?

See, two can play that game.

"Why did they jam the telecommunications systems on the ship?"

Unproven and irrelevant. Next?

"Why are ten (?) people dead?"

Nine, actually. Self-defense.

"Why don't we know the nationality of the dead?"

We do. Turkish.

"What are the 'proper channels'? "

Allowing the aid to be transported into Gaza, minus the weapons. This happened yesterday.

"You should read what John Ging has to say about the 'proper channels' and the situation in Gaza."

Irrelevant.

"Why are you so satisfied that 1.5 million people are trapped in a huge ghetto? Why dos that give you pleasure?"

What ghetto?

I'm sorry if only having ten Burger Kings gets in the way of the RULING GOVERNMENT OF GAZA who states on it's charter that it seeks the DEATH OF ALL JEWS.

Seriously, Gaza is not a ghetto. Israel transports 15,000 tons of aid there every year, despite being in a state of war with it. Try looking up actual ghettos in history.

Gaza is the biggest prison in the world.

1.5 million are collectively punished.

The economy is destitute, unemployment is over 50%, the majority of the population live on hand outs from the UN which comprises of 'emergency rations' i.e. rice and oil.

David Cameroon has called the situation in Gaza 'unnacceptable' and has called for the seige on Gaza to be lifted.

Nick Clegg called for the same yesterday.

As did the french foreign minister, the Turkish prime minister, the vatican, the leaders of every country in the world actually. Even the US!

War on Want, Amnesty International, Christian Aid, B'tselem, Gush Shalom, Medical Aid for Palestinians, The UN, the EU, the Council of Churches, the Synod of the Church of England, Jews for Justice for Palestine, Code Pink, . . . . all and so many, many more around the world deplore the situation in Gaza and call for an end to the seige. The evidence that this is a failed, brutal policy of collective punishement is irrefutable.

"Gaza is the biggest prison in the world."

And why do you think Gaza is quote "a prison"?

Also I'm sure you've denounced Egypt for closing their borders also (and not providing aid, as Israel has done).

"1.5 million are collectively punished."

Ah so you acknowledge there is a problem, somewhat. The ruling government of Gaza wants to see the Middle East Judenrein and is an international terrorist organisation. If people should vote for terror, they should not be surprised to find moral, democratic society cannot tolerate it.

"The economy is destitute, unemployment is over 50%, the majority of the population live on hand outs from the UN which comprises of 'emergency rations' i.e. rice and oil."

And all that would change if Hamas relinquished terrorism. Ironic.

"David Cameroon has called the situation in Gaza 'unnacceptable' and has called for the seige on Gaza to be lifted."

And David Cameron's always right. You do know he's a
member of Conservative Friends of Israel and is against Israel having to withdraw to the pre-67 Auschwitz borders, right?

"List of leaders who condemned Israel"

Is that your only come-back? Couldn't argue my points above so you resort to this?

Quoting hypocritical remarks from countries who would have done the same, or worse (France sinking the Greenpeace boat for example), does not an argument make.

Go back to trolling the Guardian with the other terrorist propaganda peddlers.
