Leaving the Jewish Chronicle

That's it, folks... this is my last day at the Jewish Chronicle. After five years, I am moving to the Times Higher Education magazine, where I will edit the features.

But fret not. I will still be blogging, back at my old blog home (2004-2006), http://www.bloghd.blogspot.com. Please bookmark and visit often!

Thank you all for several years of insightful comments and contributions. I look forward to continuing our discussions on Bloghead, and of course, joining you in the comment section of thejc.com.

Best,

Miriam

This is the JC's loss and the THES's gain, obviously. Who replaces you? Not that you can ever be replaced.

Your blogs will be missed (on here), Miriam. You have a fine sense of history which I find appealing, and you always found time to engage with commentators on your blogs.
Best of luck in your new role.

stephenb, it's 30 pieces - and yet another antisemitic comment from you. Is Miriam meant to be Judas?

Why oh why does the JC tolerate these haters?

Shame to lose a really feisty writer (and someone I could nick ideas off). Good luck at THES (and don't forget to accidentally delete the anti-Israel polemics you get sent).

Onoes! You'll be very much missed - I always look forward to your articles in the paper and on here, in which your wirds are often funny, often touching and always, always interesting.

All the best in the new job, but promise me that you will go to Palestine and see the reality of the situation there. It will make you an even better person than you already are!

clevenson, there's no such place - and never was, other than as an administrated area by a ruling power. It was not, is not, and never has been, an independent entity. Nor did "Palestinian" nationalism exist before 1967.

amber that is just as crazy as saying that zionism didn't exist before 1948. you are such a blinkered bigot.

Er...no it isn't. Palestinian nationalism was invented in 1967. Hence no calls for an independent "Palestinian state" when Jordan occupied Judea and Samaria between 1948-67, and Egypt occupied Gaza from 1948-67.

It was invented as a weapon to be used against Israel.

By the way, don't you know about the new policy of ad hominem attacks?
