On Monday 8 September, ‘The Journey' exhibition will be officially opened. The exhibition follows the story of a fictional Jewish child, Leo Stein. Young visitors will walk through Leo's home, school and street. They will visit his father's shop, the ‘hiding' space under the stairs and the carriage that takes him on his Journey to eventual safety in England. Visitors will also hear the stories of many children who survived Nazi persecution.
On Tuesday 28 October, The Holocaust Centre will host a commemorative concert at the Barbican marking the 70th Anniversary of Kristallnacht. The programme will include the UK Premiere of Kaddish Symphony No. 3 by Leonard Bernstein, performed by the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra and narrated by Dr Samuel Pisar
