Isreal win the Eurovision Song Contest and The European Cup

Then we we stop to wonder are we geographically or even politically (or socially) European?
Has anyone stopped to ask why we have this anomaly? And is there a time in the future where we will be integrated back with our Middle Eastern/ Asian neighbours?
