Israel's gay propaganda war

A very interesting article by my friend Jasbir Puar in your favourite paper The Guardian today. Another sign that Israel is desperate. How long can they keep it up before they fall out with the entire world?

Tanya,

You write: "How long can they keep it up before they fall out with the entire world?"

Let's hope it is a damn sight longer than that appalling regime in Tehran, which sponsors Hamas, whilst flogging and executing its gay population.

Tanya,

Any gay activist who does not regularly condemn the appalling treatment of homosexuals in Iran, Gaza and beyond, but spends their time attacking Israel 24/7, must be anti-semitic. There is no other logic explanation for their behaviour.

If you want to protest about this scandalous Puar article please write to the Rutgers President

How can any gay or lesbian ever consider enrolling at Rutgers as long as this vile pustule on the face of humanity teaches there .....

Is it not possible to give Israel credit for its gay-friendly stance?

Would you rather they were as homophobic as their enemies?

Well said, Jonathan.
It's pure antisemitism - kick da joos every which way you can, even when you have to turn truth on its head to do so.

Perhaps the Guardianista enemies of Israel can tell us why they still propagandise for Hamas (and Iran) despite the barbarity of those regimes towards gays and women - the woman angle is touched on here in a blog called Blondely Pimping Brand Iran

This "Tanya Greenberg" is another vile antisemitic racist. Clearly, this creature posts here in order to provoke a response. Her last post lauding the defacing of the Warsaw Ghetto was dsgusting beyond words. Do you think "she" is eisner, abbott or gold in disguise?

Jonathan, I'll write to Rutgers about this piece of dreck as well.

Greenberg, who do you think you're kidding? Israel is the most tolerant nation in the entire region. You know this to be true, yet you continue to disseminate lies about the Jews. Your lack of morality is despicable, and your racsim is obvious.

Damned if they do; damned if they don't. The anti-Semites at the Guardian treat the Jewish state exactly the same way the gentiles of Europe used to treat the Jews.

Ms Puar has written a book called:

"homonationalism in queer times"

It uses the same uber-intellectual language of the CIF piece.

I dare you to decipher this sentence:

"With its emphases on bodies, desires, pleasures, tactility, rhytthms, echoes, textures, deaths, morbidity, torture, pain, sensation, and punishment, our necropolitical present-future deems it imperative to rearticulate what queer theory and studies of sexuality have to say about the metatheories and the realpolitik of empire, often understood, as Joan Scott observes, as "the real business of politics". Queer times require even queerer modalities of thought, analysis, creativity, and expression in order to elaborate upon nationalist, patriotic, and terrorist formations and their imbricated forms of racilaized perverse sexualities and gender dysphorias"

"imbricated"!!!

Now that's not a word you read very day, unless you are either a bioligist or decide to wade knee-deep in the lingusitic quagmire and mental perversions of Ms Puar who seems to have dictionaryised her way into her seat at Rutgers.

You can imagine her introducing herself on University Challenge: "Jasbir Puar, reading the Greater Oxford English Dictionary which I have laid out in an imbricated pattern on my desk"

Anyone so up themselves as this just cannot be taken seriously except by their adoring 'friends' who lie dreamily at her feet soaking up every dysphoric, imbricated syllable of utter drivel that passes for intellectual discourse and analysis.

I am amazed at the amount of moral inversion it takes to be able to write the stupidities Jasbir Puar wrote in the Guardian. I am amazed to see what the Guardian has become. I see desperation there. When being gay-friendly is seen as "desperate" while being a gay-murdering country is whitewashed, we are witnessing the end of reason.

Hear, hear, Jose!
