I have a piece in today's Guardian about the East Jerusalem crisis. It's here.
I'm sure Guardian readers will post their usual restrained, thoughtful comments on it.

The problem is, Stephen, that while you are not defending the right to build in the occupied territories, the Palestinians have seen almost two decades of talks being just that. Talking. No action. It's like Israel loves the process but not the idea of peace because that would mean actually standing up to the settlers--something no Israeli government has had the political will or courage to do.
