Help Needed - YouTube closes down Palestinian Media Watch's microsite

PMW needs your help. YouTube has closed down PMW's main video account - PALWATCH - for "violating YouTube terms of use", by supposedly propagating hate speech. Of course PMW does not promote hate speech, but exposes the hate speech of the PA and the Hamas, in order to bring about its elimination.

YouTube stated that the account was henceforth terminated "due to repeated or severe violations of our Terms of Use" and they specified the following PMW videos from Palestinian sources, promoting the killing of Jews:

1. "Hamas TV teaches kids to kill Jews" formerly at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwN2M6ZIIRU
Removed for violating our Terms of Use on 10/02/2009.

2. "Jews are a virus like Aids" formerly at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QYaGl3KjPUw
Removed for violating our Terms of Use on 01/18/2010.

3. "Farewell video before suicide attack of Hamas suicide bomber Adham Ahmad Hujyla Abu Jandal" formerly at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZYdTudQhWM4
Removed for violating our Terms of Use on 06/10/2010.

4. "Hamas suicide farewell video: Jews monkeys and pigs; Maidens reward for killing Jews" formerly at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ryc7RqXlVdE
Removed for violating our Terms of Use on 08/14/2010.

5. "PA cleric: Kill Jews, Allah will make Muslims masters over Jews" formerly at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjuDTO8fgqM
Removed for violating our Terms of Use on 12/12/2010.

6. "Hamas suicide terrorist farewell video: Palestinians drink the blood of Jews" formerly at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSftYIGH6-w
Removed for violating our Terms of Use on 12/15/2010.

PMW urgently seeks to have this account reopened, since some of these videos have accumulated hundreds of thousands of viewings and the exposure is critical to our ongoing work.

If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you,
Itamar Marcus

Waterman, here's one from official Palestinian Authority TV, the PA which receives billions in aid from the Eu to make such programmes:

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2010/02/palestinian-tv-the-prophet-says-you-sh...

Oh whoops, you can't watch it, because youtube has censored it. However, the text appears underneath.

Your rabbi is not representative, and certainly not funded by Israel. So what's your point? You found a Jewish lunatic?

Any thoughts on the points pout to you onj the other blog? The blog you ran away from?

Waterbrain, is Mummy letting you play on her computer again?

You dredged up a 30 month old quote, clever boy

When you are older, Mummy will explain the difference between one Rabbi on the one hand and state-sponsored Jew hate on the other.

Jonathan, how can we help this vital resource, apart from going to Marcus's excellent Memri website?
And FYI, the chief rabbi of Safed is state-employed. All of Israel's municipal chief rabbis are. Would that the whole rabbinate be privatised.

How about a Youtube boycott? We could organise people to boycott Youtube some weekend and instead, they stand in front of their 'puters and scream (to educate it, of course) at it? Just trying to be helpful.

Not a dilemma at all, Yoni1. "Church" and state need to be separated in Israel, irrespective of religion. And if I heard that a local, state-employed imam had called for Muslims not to rent/sell to Jews, I would be equally shocked. Wouldn't you?

Yoni1, I honestly don't know why you seem to be looking for a fight here. Have any Israeli, state-employed imams ever called for Muslims not to rent/sell to Jews? If he had, what did the state do?
Should there be a separation of state and religion in Israel?

Joe Millis: Separation of church and state would make Israel a democracy instead of a theocracy. Let the wailing begin.

Watchful, you have no idea, do you? Israel is as much a theocracy as the UK, where there is also no separation of state and religion. In fact, it is even less of one because he head of state, the President, is not the head of the official religion(s), unlike Her Maj, who is Defender of the Faith.
Israel won't become a theocracy because even the Orthodox parties can't agree what that theocracy would look like. The seculars' secret weapon is that the Orthodox groups hate each other more than they hate the secular.

Hi,
I have never been on a Zionist site until recently. Such vile abuse! Is it the Zionism that makes the people offensive, or are offensive people attracted to Zionism?
Some bloke pointed out that my posting was 30 months old, implying that racism has vanished from Israel in the last 30 months. If only.
Then someone said it was just one unrepresentative rabbi. Well here is some more vile rabbinical racism from another source --dated March this year. I have similar quotes from last week.
http://www.haaretz.com/jewish-world/news/the-king-s-torah-a-rabbinic-tex...

At least there is sanity and humanity amongst the diaspora Rabbis. I have many dozens of these racist quotes from Zionist sources, unfortunately I will be away on holiday, but watch this space - unless the censor steps in in the meantime.
WOULD ANYONE CARE TO JOIN ME IN DENOUNCING ALL FORMS OF RACISM,INCLUDING MOSLEM AND ZIONIST RACISM? Dont all post at once.

You tell us. You seem to be doing well enough in the being offensive department.

Israel- and Jew-haters are attracted here because they need to vent their hatred. The rest of us simply tell them a few home truths.

Millis, it's you who is looking for a fight. I merely pointed out that imams say plenty of things in their mosques, and few of them are complimentary to Jews. Are you saying this isn't so?

Yoni1, if state-employed imams have said similar things about Jews, have they been prosecuted under Israel's incitement to racial hatred laws? They should be. Is there an example of a state-employed imam saying something nasty about Jews and not being prosecuted?
For instance, take one prominent imam, Sheikh Abdullah Nimr Darwish, the head of the Israeli Islamic Movement. Is he state-employed? Has he been prosecuted for certain statements?

The removal of PMW was due to a massive attack from racists. They complained to YouTube about PMW. Since YouTube cannot investigate the claims by lack of personnel, they chose to close the channels, even if they are perfectly legitimate and show the hate speech under 'moderate' PA of dictator Abbas.

Not much to do but let PMW ask YouTube to restore the channel.
By the way, a French group has organised resistance against antisemitic propaganda of neo-Nazi groups, ultra-left groups, Nazi HAMAS and Hezbollah, and Muslim dictatorships individuals. Very successfully: most videos (YouTube, Dailymotion), Facebook pages, etc. are removed within hours.

Since they don't have the staff to check everything, all they need is a little help.

Hi
Slow uptake (actually NO uptake) on my suggestion, but I will try again, so Jonathan, Yoni, Amber, Jose. What about joining me in a forthright denunciation of Islamophobia and anti-semitism? Both hateful manifestations of racism, and rooted in the same vile mindset that led to the holocaust.
Do it ! you will feel better for it, you will be better for it.
If you cannot bring yourselves to denounce both forms of racism, people may conclude that you support one form of it.
Meanwhile here is more vile racism from a different state-funded rabbi. Dated 8 weeks ago

Islamophobia is phobia of religion... What does it have to do with racism?

While you 'denounce' antisemitism only when it is supposedly coming from the Israel supporters, I denounce it from all even from Jews like Norman Finkelstein.

And if Jez had some correctly cabled brain, he would have seen that I not only condemned in the strongest terms the racist rabbis (just as Netanyahu did) but asked very clearly for them to be removed from every public office they might occupy for this offense, without indemnity. This is to be understood for all the 300 racist rabbis who signed this infamous paper.

Waterman, this is how it works. I put several points to you on the other blog, to which you did not respond. You then appear on this blog, ignore more information put to you, then start demanding answers.

Why do you avoid the points put to you?

As for "a Zionist blog" - this is the Jewish Chronicle - does it shock you so that there are Jews who are Zionists (most in fact are - see the recent poll by the Institute for Jewish Policy Research). Such inane and ignorant comments as "Zionist racism" come straight from neo-Nazi and extreme left hate driven (and ignorant) websites.

By the way, Islam is not a race. Could you please explain how "Islamophobia" is racist?

In additon waterman, you have managed to find a few extreme cases amongst Jews. Well done. have you seen the recent polls conducted amongst ordinary Palestinians, in which a majority express antisemitic views? And how do the views of some fringe rabbis (and they ARE fringe - they are hardly mainstream in Israel) equate with the state sponsoring of racism that we see in the PA, and in Hamas run Gaza?

I have a secret for you. There are racists in Britain (shock horror)! Yes, it's true! Obviously, we should demonize the UK, call for a boycott of it, and spend our time on blogs saying how awful everything British is.

Now address the points put to you.

There is no such thing as 'Islamophobia'. Islam is a totalitarian political dogma masquerading as a religion. It's perfectly OK to hate it.

I have written to Youtube however I expect they will respond that Palwatch is guilty of hate speech - which we know they are cracking down on due to government pressure. They are of course merely re-broadcasting hate speech made by someone else in a different language for educational purposes, and I expect extremist preachers will be able to continue broadcasting their demonic sermons under the guise of religious freedom.

The more noise we make about this the more attention it will get for PMW, and raising awareness of the levels of hate speech broadcast on Palestinian TV can only be a good thing.

Jez, no one will join a racist Jew hater in denoucing anything. I remember when participating to a march after Ilan Halimi's murder by antisemites. One nationalist right-wing party head wanted to participate, but the demonstrators (mostly Jewish, very few Muslims indeed), made him understand that he was unwanted there.

You see, we don't accept racists on the excuse that they pretend not to be antisemites.

So Jez, what do you say, knowing that I asked for all the racist rabbis to be removed from office? Don't be ridiculous, you are not a human rights supporter, you are just an Israel-basher.
