Hague not Vague

William Hague is in Israel for important talks with the government over a vital joint film industry deal (and perhaps secret discussions over Iran).
But he has also set aside time to meet Palestinians in Jerusalem, something that will no doubt endear him greatly with his hosts (think Robin Cook and Har Homa). He will be meeting Palestinians who protest against the barrier at Bili'in and elsewhere (if they aren't arrested before getting to the meeting).
Weren't the Tories, and Hague in particular, supposed to be pro-Israel?
Update: Looks like the Israeli government is really angry at Mr Hague. They've postponed the talks on strategic co-operation. Mr Hague's response…yeah…whatever.

Tsam,

This is, once again, extraordinary news. Quite extraordinary. You must send it to Jenni Frazer.

But are you employed by Sky News?

Hague's response "yeah, whatever" recorded by you, is just like the last election when poor old Gordon was caught out .."she's a bigot. Why on earth was I introduced to her?"

You have shown that Hague is a dead ringer for that school-girl in Little Britain.

Quite extraordinary.

Are you Jenni Frazer's work manager now, Anthony? I am sure that being a top-notch journalist with oodles of experience, she knows about these things and doesn't need any help from the likes of you or me.

tsam,

Once again, I refer you to The Brit's blog.

After all you recorded Hague's words. You got the scoop. And yes, you do deserve some credit for it. Why should Sky News once again take all the glory?

And Jenni Frazer is reporting on Billy's visit to The Jews. It makes sense to send it to her. If she thinks your recording is up to scratch, she might even post it next to their EDL videos.

BBC WEBSITE

The timing of this announcement will have raised eyebrows on the British side, because the UK feels it is working hard to meet Israeli concerns over this issue.

Western diplomats are often frustrated by the way the Israeli foreign ministry works - it has a record of making statements which embarrass and frustrate Israel's allies and friends.

But diplomats say what is said and done by the Israeli Foreign Ministry is often at odds with the Israeli prime minister's position.

That reflects one of the anomalies of the very fragile coalition government in Israel.

Can I take it from your post that you do not agree with the implementation of the security fence .

A simple yes or no will suffice

The security barrier is vital. Every country should have a border. It should be on the Green Line.

I am beginning to understand why The Queen doesn't visit. She's used to swanning around on The Throne.

But at least The Jews are telling The Brits to get lost. It is about time that they stood up to that obnoxious Cameron and his love for The Islamist Jihadist Turks.

Well done, The Jews!

The Jews should extradite Hague to Gaza. Let him meet with Hamas. Let him put his mother on the next flotilla.

Bloody Hague!
About half an hour ago, here in Jerusalem, outside the government offices and Bank of Israel, on the way home, I got stuck in a traffic hold-up because a few cars with British flags and a police escort were passing thru.

Guess who?
