Just Journalism has a fascinating post about the Guardian's editing of a quote from Saeb Erekat to fit in with it's editorial line.

Have a read here.

Brilliant. Somehow I think the Guardian has done itself no favours in the way it has reported this.

wow this is one desperate damage limitation exercise. Would be impressive if it wasn't so hopelessly forlorn

Poor Guardianistas - so well-meaning but betrayed by yet another proletariat. All they want to do is stand up for the human rights of the downtrodden (unless they are Israeli, that is). Tony Blair sold them down the river and now Mahmoud Abbas has dome the dirty as well.

Far better for the Palestinians to reject all negotiations and continue the Jihad. Otherwise how could George Galloway remain sincere in lambasting Isdrael?

This is shameless expoitation of the well-meaning liberal Left. Surely the UN Human Rights Commission should set up a Commission of Inquiry? Richard Goldstone could chair it.

I hear Michael Moore has the film rights.
