The good news is that the terrorist made justice to himself and did not kill anyone else.

Being a supporter of Islamism, even as much as Sweden can be, is sometimes not enough to prevent terrorists from attacking you.
Do you think UK will learn the lesson?

"Do you think the UK will learn the lesson?"

L don't think so. Look at the fiasco the authorities got into over the student protests, if they could'nt stop a few radicals attacking the Prince Of Wales - what hope is there?

Jose,

ibrows, it sounds from your comment that your reading comprehension is below third grade... I hope not.
Although judging by your punctuation, the writing (and the intelligence) would be on the same level.

Jose, out of interest, how do you suggest that Sweden and other countries prevent future bomb attacks by militants?

Your implication is that the bombers are militant because they are Muslim.

Your implication is that the bombers are militant because they are Muslim.

How can I make such an implication without, at any time, using the word "Muslim" or a word implying that all Muslim must be included?
It seems that your reading comprehension is on the level with that of ibrows, not even out of primary school.

"Islamism", as I should not need to remind you, is a political movement, searching to impose Islam as a way of life to the rest of the world. It has a hold mostly in Saudi Arabia and Iran, but spreading through organisations such as "Muslim Brotherhood" and their ramifications such as MSA and CAIR in the US, Sunni HAMAS in Gaza, Shi'ite Hezbollah in Lebanon, etc.

Sweden like the UK has to come to grips with the fact that they have been laxist protecting Islamism as legitimate speech. Islamism is just hate speech.

Suicide bombers are generally militant because they are stupid. I think one has to be stupid to be susceptible to the religious brain washing that motivates them.

That said, the people that egg them on are by no means stupid, and they do what they do for political reasons, not for religious reasons.

Matt, I wouldn't exonerate religion from the ills that those who interpret it literally committ. At least, religion facilitates the task for those who will brainwash others into becoming extremes.

Islamism as a political movement? And what movement is that? Hezbollah, for example, call themselves a resistance movement, so their fight is not inspired by Islam necessarily.

Is the Real IRA a Catholic movement or a militant movement?

And, according to you, Sweden is a supporter of Islamism. What does that mean?

Islamism is an absolutist political ideology Suzanna, which sees Islam as the only valid system of governing people. In the face of this ideology governance by mutual consent (what we call democracy), the rule of law, etc, are neither required nor desirable. Muslims who support such Western constructs are not considered proper Muslims, and like the rest of us are therefore expendable.

Iran is a good example of an Islamism in practice, as are Sudan and Gaza. Hezbollah is not a resistance movement it is a political movement affiliated with Iran and Syria which uses violence to further its political goals - namely strengthening and consolidating its strangle-hold on Lebanese politics.

You may also wish to check out Chechnya as another example of Islamism in Practice, where women who do not wear full face veils get shot at in the streets by thugs with paintball guns and called filthy names while the government turns a blind eye.

Or Indonesia, where Christians are now arrested and beaten for attempting to practice their religion in their own homes.
