NIF will not fund global BDS activities against Israel nor support organizations that have global BDS programs.

Although this is just a mild support to Israel (they do not exclude organisations that would ask of a limited BDS). But that is just a start. I guess they are just beginning to feel the heat of Im Tirtzu's campaign to expose their hypocrisy.

The Im Tirtzu campaign is proving to be effective, so maybe the same could be applied to JStreet. They would be left with Soros only to support them...

The Im Tirzu campaign is run by a bunch of puerile right wingers who think they invented Zionism. The catch phrase is from a translation of Herzl's famous phrase (in English) "if you will it, it is no legend". This was written about 50 years before the creation of the State of Israel but is thought to refer to his dream of creating a utopian state in Palestine. Not all his dreams have been fulfilled as for example he envisioned that the language spoken in Israel would be German, which was his first language. The Im Tirzu hooligans had the temerity to criticise Naomi Hazan who is President of the New Israel Fund but forgetting that her achievements in Israel far outweigh anything they will ever do except make complete asses of themselves.

Except the Im Tirtzu organisation is apolitical. Nice try, anyway!

Well, he did not think it was utopia and the same sentence you quoted proves it. Nice try, anyway!

Really, German? He didn't live to see the Holocaust, though. He would have changed his mind, I guess. Even then, there was much more Polish and Russian than German-speaking Jews. So, except for being Herzl's mother tongue, German language doesn't make sense. As far as I know, he didn't dream about German. He just said that he believed that the language would be German.

Now, no name-throwing ("hooligans"), Erdman, please! The Im Tirtzu organisation understand Zionism, at least, and support the state of Israel. Hazan is a member of Meretz, that is to say she represent herself and her husband, and maybe a telephone boothful of supporters. She is noted for assisting Goldstone to accuse Israel of wrongdoing and exonerate Hamas for much worse crimes.

Im Tirtzu was established as a centrist movement in order to consolidate a new ideological axis that will ensure a balance in safeguarding all of Israel's crucial interests. We believe that the best way to safeguard the future of the Zionist enterprise is to consolidate an overall Zionist strategy that will take into account the national and historic importance of regions of the homeland, Israel's crucial security interests, the demographic issue, the cohesion of the Jewish public and the Jewish-democratic character of the State of Israel.

The NIF is an anti-Israel front.
