The Israeli government has decided to put off, by six months, an attempt to enforce Orthodox conversions as the sole standard

It's here

This would have made the Jewish people even more divided.

Even more divided? How would they do that? Cutting each Israeli in two?

Well, instead they've allowed in a whole bunch of people who aren't really Jewish - some of them are even anti-Semitic and don't identify with being Jewish at all.

Orthodox conversions ARE the sole standard.

No, Amber. The Orthodox establishment has simply grabbed to itself the political power to dictate that it is the 'sole standard'. They have no authority to speak on behalf of all Jews.

Interesting statement from someone who claims "she" isn't Jewish.

This is a great sign, there are too many good people that Israel loses out on because of the Orthodox rules. This is facing reality.

Oh, great. Now some moron is giving me negative points because I speak the truth about the vile Orthodox establishment that has been holding Israel in a strangehold all these years, living the high life at the taxpayer's expense.

And on the other hand, it would be great to get rid of some nasty people, who happen to be Jewish according to Orthodox rules. Names like Finkelstein, Avnery, Davis (Uriel, not the other one) comes to mind.
